For once I agree with [insert insult] who posted before me.

The fourth entry clearly is out of place in this competition, from the looks of it, (and I apologize in advance if you're not) the entrants look like beginners in splicing. While Entrant 4 clearly has experience.

I also insult your voting system, which is crappy for determining 2nd and 3rd place entries. (A preferential style of voting would be so much better >_>)

Just a question on the winner I mean number 4.

How come that you see a bit of the arm? I mean, in every mug there was armor and since this is splicing there shouldn't be a arm or shoulder or w/e but just the armor. That is just what I noticed .. it's good though that was obvious xD

Now aside from number 1 (me) and 4 which one do I like more..

Actually, I need to ask Eclipse if/when he comes to this topic, did he minor custom that, or take it from an existing mug, because I guess I forgot to mention MINOR customing is allowed...but hrm...

If I disqualified him, we wouldn't have a winner.

I can tell he did some minor customing there, it's obvious enough. You should however mention that it's allowed for the next contest, to avoid confuzzltion or something.

@FELover, I pretty much suggest this at every competition I go to, (and every single one uses a damn poll* >_>

But I suggest a points system, it's important to note this is NOT a "Hmm I like entry 4 I give it 10 points sort of judging system. But simply posting what each member thinks is the best 3 in order. EG

1: Entry 4 (3 Points)
2: Entry 1 (2 Points)
3: Entry 3 (1 Point)

That way even if there is a clear winner, it's possible to get a second and third place.

Voting system prevents arguments. I'm for sticking with the poll system to avoid conflicts.
There is a reason why everyone uses the poll. Last time this competition was done it lead to it being canceled.
The poll is fine. Let it be.

That reason being, it's easy. But being easy doesn't reflect accuracy. It would prevent cases like Blazers who want to change their vote. And it would also mean half the entries get 0 votes. Which isn't something new splicers like getting.

The last time it was cancelled it was because a member didn't take decsisions made by the judges very well. And when in-depth criticism is involved I too can forsee complications, however the system I mentioned should not result in any more criticism then the current system.

At the very least a multi-choice poll would be more appropriate I think.

Regarding Eclipses entry, there's a few bit of customing, the shoulder. headband, and the thing tying the characters hair together. But overall the customing is minimal and as long as minimal customing is allowed entries like this one should be allowed. However if you're all going to by so paranoid about a flame war starting like last time then allowing customing will eventually lead to people complaing "so-and-so didn't custom that it's from characterX" accusations.

Oh, but all I did for then headband and shoulder part was draw a line wear I wanted those things and recolour all beyond the line. Oh except for reshading a bit of the arm. The stringy part is part of the headband, it was fairly simple to make.
