Lost in Blue should have a bazillion games, but it only has 6 or so, 2 of which aren't even realy countable...
I don't like Golden Sun's art style personally...I dunno why though

Golden Sun did use random encounters, but the GBA couldn't handle much, so let's see what they do with GSDS. Also, GS had all the different class swap abilities (I know FFX2 did too, but that game was HORRIBLE).
Tales is still better IMO

By art design do you mean the game's graphics or the actual artwork itself?
I find it very annoying that people always bring up FF, but never other RPGs like Tales or Suikoden. FRICK
Lost in Blue... what is that o.O

gs > suikodens > generic rpg > ff
FINAL FANTASY IS PURE FANSERVICE THESE DAYS (and by that I mean literally a combonation of fan and service, as trying to service fans. Not like flashing or anything)

... How can anyone claim that FF's stories are generic or too similar... when they... like... FE? *Aimed at Dan, not Charon.* |
Shame on you to assume something so quickly. I like FE because of the intelligent, strategic tactics involved. Plus, with the various classes and characters, it makes for good replay value.
As for FF...well, the combat sucks, leaving MUCH to be desired.

The only saving graces of GS are Jenna and Mia. <3

These days, yes.
However, the old ones were very good (well, the first one WAS a generic rpg).
However, I've never had a reason for enjoying them, I just do.

A friend pestered me to finish GS recently. And while playing it, I remembered how much I hated the GS series. The mazes and puzzles were tedious boring shit, and it doesn't help that mazes and puzzles make up 80% of the gameplay. The only saving graces of GS are Jenna and Mia. <3 |
...you obviously hate puzzles. The puzzles in GS were rather intellegent, and even though they required similar solutions (like the Frost puzzles), they were well thought out. : p
Honestly, you must be getting lost... real easily... because GS's maps aren't particularly maze-like... (oh sure, they play the forked road a few times but it's the difference between getting an item and not)

lol@GS's map not being maze-like. Just play one of the later dungeons in GS1 or any of the dungeons in GS2. And yeah, I do search for as much stuff as I can find.
If you want well-thought out Puzzles in RPGs, I felt Paper Mario, or even Summon Night Swordcraft Story 2 and 3 managed to include them without making it too tedious.

Golden Sun is at least well known among handheld players. Which makes me sleep at night. And GS DS gives me beautiful dreams of world peace... Like the graphics of the game, it seems like they tried too hard to make them good, kinda like FEDS.
Lost in Blue is a friggin awesome series known as Survival Kids in Japan. It's a survival strategy game, where you go around not sucking at life and hunting boars and patatoes and crud. You also have a buddy of the opposite gender to order around, which is always fun.
Survival Kids - GBC
Survival Kids 2 (JP only) GBC
Lost in Blue - DS (Good luck finding it, it's a rare game)
Lost in Blue 2 - DS
Lost in Blue 3 - DS
Lost in Blue:Shipwrecked - Wii
I have LiB 1, 2, 3, and Shipwrecked, and love all of them.
In terms of how good they are however, I prefer it...
1 > 2 > 3 > Shipwrecked
Sometimes people switch 1 and 2 but that's personal choice.
You should really try 1 or 2 if you can, they are fabulous and a different sense of strategy (1 has more story to it then 2, but 2 polished up gameplay slightly)
