Hi

Well, at chapter 20 the cyclops have a swordslayer sometimes, of course, this is good against swords. So I put Gerik there with an AXE and guess what, the SWORDslayer is "super effective" against an axe o_o

Is this just because Gerik can use swords also? (He is Hero class)

I find it kinda weird.. Atleast I didn't die xD Unlike Joshua did once

Swordreaver is good against Swords.

Swordslayer is good against swords, but really effective against Heroes and Swordmasters

If you read the description of swordslayer, it's good against swordusers, not swords. xD

It reverses the weapon triangle as well.
So it's a better version of the swordreaver to put it simply.

i use swordslayers when need be, so anything that uses a sword like paladins, it has a higher chance to hit and increased damage dealt

On FE8 the swordslayer/reaver are pretty useless cause, almost all classes when promoted have 2 weapon uses so they can most likely beat the sword/axe/lance

Or they are strong enough so it doesn't matter xD *cough Ross cough*

remember the opposite version of the weapon triangle, sword beats lance, lance beats axe, and axe beats sword.

For my Gerik and Ross it is this most of the time:

Gerik: Sword beats Axe, Lance and Sword

Ross (Berserker) : Axe beats Axe, Lance, Sometimes swords.

axes are always strong against lances, if the lance is not an axereaver, sword if its a swordreaver/slayer, and equal against axes, unless against monsters, Garm beats like everything

Yeah, Garm and the other legend weapons make the triangle just null and void :/ They probably kill your enemies in one hit by the time you can use them considring most of the enemies will be monsters and not human
