If you haven't played them, then this doesn't apply to you. Curious to see which one is more preferred and if possible, state why. Also, feel free to discuss which game would be better off translated and released on VC, provided that only one of them have that opportunity. I myself am not greatly familiar with the games so I lack much of an input (which is partially why I am asking you guys).

I think Genealogy is the better game, with the superior plot, map design and features (such as the lover system). Thracia is a great game as well, though, being incredibly challenging (and I always enjoy a good challenge).

Genealogy probably wouldn't be translated for the Visual Console, though, due to certain events that occur during the game.

Could you be a little more specific on those certain events? Avoid spoilers if need be, however explain the concept of why it wouldn't be in it.

You should think about things along the lines of incest, rape and slavery. That's pretty much it in short. NoA probably would butcher the plot so that all things similar to the ones I mentioned are taken out.

Oh, I see... that is indeed quite disturbing. >.< Still it makes a good point.

Genealogy of the Holy War is what I'd say would make it sure there is plenty of corruption, lies, and romance; but that's what this games about. I enjoyed both but I wouldn't mind seeing 4 for the story. But I believe 5 has a higher replayability due to a wider cast to pick from.

I think Fire Emblem 4 is more popular, but fire Emblem 5 is a pretty fun game in itself. I prefer the latter game just because of the stealing, capturing system which made this game quite fun. But with that said, I think I only like FE5 slightly more than FE4.
