I want Orlando to win the finals (as I don't like LA at all), but I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being an Lakers victory. I expect Dwight to be fouled a lot though, so if he repeats his 70% FT, it could be good for the Magic.

Yeah, I am thinking Magic in 5 or 6. DH is going to do well.

Lakers in 6. They have depth and a variety of offensive weapons unlike the Cavs did vs the Magic. And the Lakers have more experience in the finals with Kobe having won 3 and been in more and Phil Jackson winning 9 titles while this is Van Gundy's first NBA final apperance and the magic haven't been to the finals sinch Shaq and Hardaway in 1995 (which they got swept 4-0 by the Rockets) Yes Dwight Howard is the best center in the NBA and Bynum isn't gonna match well but the Magic will have a worse time guarding Kobe, especially late game where Kobe dominates the best.

Magic did a good job of guarding James, I wouldn't be surprised if they tried it again. Yes, he did still score 30-40 for the most pat, but if he had to dish it to a teammate, things fell apart. And the Magic have clutch in the form of Hedo and The Contract.

I don't want either team to win but Lakers in 7 I say... although it could go either way, i.e. both teams have the ability to win. :\

But Kobe and the Lakers are way different than the Cavs and James, mostly cause Kobe has other offensive weapons other than Lebron who only had himself. the Lakers also have guards and Forwards that can actually guard against Hedo and Lee. And Howard effectiveness outside of the key even a step is really really bad, even though Bynum will have a really hard time keeping him out of the key. And dont forget the hunger for a NBA championship Kobe and the Lakers have.

I don't like when people say "This Player and the Team", it's all one team, when I go to the cavs site I don't go to www.lebronandthecavs.com, I go to cavs.com, the Lakers logo doesn't say Bryant, I just don't like that because it's pretty much saying "hey this player is way better than you and leads all of you and without him you'd suck" which even if it's true it just sounds bleh.

Anyway, of course the Lakers and Cavaliers are different. Two different teams.

What you're saying is highly incorrect. Lebron isn't the Cavaliers first option. Lebron plays when baskets need to be made, on fastbreak, he'll shoot when he's open, on mis-matches, he'll GET his points no matter what without people having to make plays for him. Z, West, and Mo all average above 10 points. Anderson Varejao, Joe Smith, and Wally Szczerbiak all average around 7 points and the rest of the bench helps too.

Three of the games were decided by 2 or less points. They won 2 of those. The Cavaliers couldn't close out. We only won the 3rd one because Lebron made a miraculous shot. If we (i.e., the Cavaliers) would have won all 3 games we would be in the playoffs. If we had won 2 of the 3 we would have had a chance to win in 7, and a good one.

It's simple as this: The Lakers match up much, much better against Orlando. Their guards are bigger, Luke Walton can guard Hedo, Kobe can guard Lee and Pietrus easily and score on them easily, Bynum can guard Howard better than Z ever could and they have help from Gasol and Odom. They also know how to stop Dwight from scoring a ton even if it meant getting a lot of fouls on their big men. Odom is a power forward but he can still take the ball up the court, shoot 3's or mid-range shots, etc.,-- he's a great match against Lewis, a power forward who also plays a lot on the 3-point line or mid-range, with drives on occasion.

The exceptional win is because the Magic lost their scoring ability in the 2nd and from then on. Pietrus also wasn't making his 3's early on. Not to mention Lakers have home court advantage and they're a great home team (as well as a good team as a whole) which also explains why the Lakers were able to beat them by 25 points.

^Don't forget Dwight disappearing in the 4th, or the fact that they have an injured Nelson, who was the Magic's key player against the Lakers in the regular season.

Oh and yeah, James does make clutch 3s look far too easy. IMO, Cavs without James = Lottery/first round out. That's one reason why Magic won. Not trying to offend in anyway, as Raptors without Bosh = lottery hell. He'll probably leave to Cleveland and join up with James, then it's time for rings.

Cavs without James would be more like a team around the Detroit level, 8th seed in the Eastern Conference, somewhere around .500... They'd still have Mo Williams, Delonte West, Joe Smith, Wally Szczerbiak, Ben Wallace, and Z, all competent players. Either Wally would play at 3 instead of Lebron or they'd have Sasha start, those are the 2 most likely things to happen. If it is permanent I could see Wally starting over Sasha, if it's temporary than Sasha over Wally... but yeah this is irrelevant since Lebron is on the Cavs and we are just assuming a makeshift situation :\

40? No, 40 is too much for Dwight. Dwight shouldn't be scoring THAT much.

I'd say a 30 point game and some better support from his teammates.

Same here, but they won it, so I'm not going to hate on them (not that I do, I just don't like them).

Anyways, it's over now, next stop: Draft.

Here's hoping the Raptors get Derozan or Evans.
