A lot of people seem to think that Dart is a really good unit, but for me, he seems to be my worst. Of the 20 times he's attacked an enemy unit, he's hit once for me. Now, I find it hard to see how a unit who only hits 5% of the time could be so good. So, what do you really think of Dart?

Dart is great on unranked playthroughs. On ranked playthroughs he's simply some random low tier dude who completely rapes your funds rank.

Yes on ranked playthroughs he costs around 100,000 to use.

Otherwise he is good but not great, when compared to Haweye he is brilliant.
you may have to waste a speedwing on him if you want his speed to increase....

I train him up a few levels and if he isn't doing well, I ditch him.(Like on my most recent playthrough)

If I use Dart, it's only for unranked, in which case he normally ends up good for some of the larger maps.

^That's why you don't use him for ranked playthroughs, like most of the people before you said. ;P

Dart is alright, he's not the best, but he's definitely not the worst. *Cough* Bartre.. *Cough*

I honestly don't give a shit about ranked/unranked playthroughs, but in any case I've never been a big fan of him. It's hard to get him to be a good unit IMO and his usefulness is limited... I also don't like units that have a hard time hitting their enemy, I like "consistency". :\

Dart is a good unit, not great but good. A lot better than Bartre and Hawkeye but worse that Hector (obviously) and Raven (if he counts) maybe even Dorcas (don't really know about that one) in my oppinion.

Bartre can actually end up being better or as good as Dart, I'm not a fan of Dorcas and never really used him so I won't say, but it all depends on the playthrough; most likely Raven and Hector will be better, that's obvious, but for Bartre/Dart it could go either way.

In response to your question, if he's only hitting 1-2 times every 10 hits, no exaggeration, I'd spend time on someone else, or keep him as a back-up unit. I consider a back-up unit somebody to use in case something horrible happens and you get assaulted by a ton of enemies and need help or one of your units misses when you expected them to hit and you need to kill that enemy. Like Marcus, he can just ride in, finish off an enemy, then ride out. lol

Okay. This is once again weird, my FE playthroughs come out different from everyone elses.

My Dart turned out great, he almost never missed. But even when I promoted him, Hawkeye had better stats.

I like Dart, hes very useful for me, in the geitz chapter i send him in the water for killing all the wyvern. We can find a ocean seal in the desert chapter. Dart is awesome!

Dorcas is strong but slow, a bit like oswin except with less defence
Bartre can be brilliant as long as you get some speed early on, otherwise enemies can double him.

Dart has always sucked for me. He hits well, and he does damage, but he never got in a second attack, and he was always hit. I try to use him more to gain experience with him. What is it about FE games and pirates?

My key in FE is to raise a small team so my characters raise levels faster, making it easier to kill units, so I just usually ignore Dart for Geitz.

Eww...Geitz. Anyway...Dart, if you're doing ranks, is terrible. Otherwise, he's pretty good, though sometimes his lack of speed results in him getting doubled.

Geitz isn't bad. I prefer him over Wallace, and Bartre over him, and Dorcas over Bartre. However, I prefer Dorcas as my main axe-user (if you don't count Hawkeye.)

Dart sucks. He comes at a low level and barely the ability to use that awkward steel axe.
