The chat box doesn't need refreshing. The shout box does. That's how it is, that's how it works, I don't like installing other ones, and other ones often times aren't forum integrated. I like this one and others like this one and we're used to it so we're going to keep this... I don't mind advertising an actual chat box but nobody ever seems interested enough to get it going.

There a button you need hit and it will refresh itself.
It is in ACP -> D-Shoutbox -> Settings -> Iframe Settings -> then hit Iframe shoutbox type on hit yes, then for Iframe Width it is 100 ,Iframe Height it is 370, then Iframe Autorefresh Time it is 10.

Tino, The whole shoutbox looks different and it refreshes in x seconds.

Then it's fine. I thought you had to hit that Refresh button to refresh it, which would be incredibly useless.
i could also go learn ajax to make a wtf awesome spambox for you guys that wouldnt need any refreshing at all but i cant be bothered to do that so sorry

It does auto refresh, only every 10 seconds though. If it's less than 10 seconds, like every 2 seconds, it can get troublesome and yeah, there are problems with it that I don't feel like going into.
ALso the the refreshing refreshes only the shoutbox, not the whole page.

Cheron means that if you have multiple tabs of FES open, the first tab will keep refreshing, not the others. I think that's what they mean, anyways.

The refresh sound that the Cbox makes keeps going even if I navigate away from the site and I don't have the forums open ._.
Even if I only have one tab open. I was checking out Golden Sun Hacking Community, and the Cbox there doesn't refresh. I checked. And it was refreshing. Same at Golden Sun Realm.
Zomigosh the refreshing Cbox wants to take over the internetz. =O
