Hi, I'm a Fire Emblem fan from China.

A lot of Chinese Fire Emblem fans love to play Fire Emblems hacks from this forum.

But most of players can't read English well, so can we translate some of games or tutorials to Chinese?

It really gonna help us a lot !

We want to begin with the translation of the ultimate tutorial from http://www.feshrine....timatetutorial/.

I try to translate the beginning part of the ultimate tutorial tonight, here is the demo.

Attached File  ultimatetutorial-1.jpg   275.02KB   0 downloads

You can send me E-mails: 2565476665@qq.com

Sorry I can't write English well, but I think people as smart as you are can totally understand what I mean, right?  :)

Is it a spam bot? I can't tell.
Dave Grohl is rock and roll personified.

Actually a real smart genius man, but I'll never show it.

I've never seen such a wired bot --

Never mind, I just want to have the translation permission of the tutorial. I don't have the ability to translate games on my own.

Many players in China enjoy playing the FE hack games, here is one of the forum.

I just think it is a pity that there isn't any corporation between forums with different languages.

there's not much cooperation because of the language barrier. Not much to be done about it unfortunately, but I'm sure there's plenty of documentation on FE hacking on Chinese forums as well. I would be surprised to find out that there isn't given how active the 3ds translation community in China is. Anyway I'm not sure that this is the best place to ask about this kind of thing. It's not the most active FE forum by any means. You may have better luck at serenes forest, or a dedicated hacking website.

Oddly specific spambot, if I do say so myself. I say it's a rather inexperienced forum-goer, possibly an internet newbie. (Either that, or chinese forums don't have the same etiquette english forums do.)

@Original Poster: What Zac said. This place is practically a ghost town with a couple of tumbleweeds floating through every once and a while.

LOL you're joking right? you have to be joking. it's clearly an actual person. don't be rude.

As mentioned in the PM, you can translate the tutorial. As far as games go, I'm afraid we can't help, but you have permission to translate anything I (Blazer) made, such as The Last Promise. For other hacks, I think most people wouldn't care if you translated it, but if you want permission, you would need to contact the owner by privately messaging them.

It is very cool that Chinese people enjoy playing FE hacks. I also think it is a shame there is no cooperation between forums with different languages, but I'm not sure what we can do. The language barrier does make things difficult!

come on zac/Blue Leafeon. don't be so depressing. if you say things like that to everyone who shows by, it's really not helping lol. if you want to suggest trying a different website, you can do so without pointing out the obvious fact that FES isn't that active.

also, you might say there isn't just a language barrier but also a culture barrier. S/he is definitely not a "bot", their posts just aren't written in the same style. Come on, s/he is cleeeeearly human, lol

Thanks a lot !

We came to know to this forum by playing The Last Promise, it is quite a popular hack game in China.

Here is a post discussing this game in a Chinese forum, has nearly 2000 replies.

Indeed language barrier is a problem, although Chinese students begin to learn English since first grade in primary school.

Anyway, Chinese students can speak English much better than Japanese students.  :P

Hahaha, that is very cool. I knew some Chinese people played it before but I didn't know it was so popular. Thank you for sharing.

Unfortunately in the United States, we usually don't start learning languages until we are in 7th grade or so, which is about 12-13 years old. Chinese is usually only offered in good schools, and not until you are 14-15, so it is not common for us to speak Chinese, forget Japanese, haha.

I can believe that Chinese students can speak English better than Japanese students. I have seen Japanese people try to speak English in shows, games, and YouTube videos and they usually aren't very good. Their sense of grammar isn't there, and of course they have a hard time pronouncing the letters.

I would say your English typing is very good, almost as good as a native! Hopefully I am not too hard to understand for you. :)

Sorry, Blazer. I just tend to get a little impatient with impatient people, and the OP was coming across as that. Not that it's an acceptable excuse. I will try not to scare away the next person. :(

it's all good, I am similar with the patience thing, but I think I just have a switch where when I feel like I need to be patient, I can, even if maybe my normal self might not want to be XD I guess that "switch" has just kind of developed over time since I've put in many situations where I had to be the "bigger man"/"mature person", so to speak
