Dota 2 vs League of Legends vs SMITE vs ANYTHING ELSE YOU CAN THINK OF

Anyway, I'd like to ask which MOBA the FES community likes playing. So, I ask a few questions if you play them;
Which ones do you play?
Which ones do you prefer?
What design pieces do you like more in your selected MOBA, and why?
What makes it better than the others?
Any bad design choices in any of them?
I don't have access to a computer at the moment, so I'll wait to post my response later into the topic.

Ick, MOBAS. This has been another valuable contribution to the topic brought to you by insomniac Elwood
I will not remove this until I complete the Ritual of the Mahjarrat quest in Runescape - started 4/18/15 - completed 12/20/15

lolDota2. I will say that Dota 2 seems to have some of the best competitive features from what I've read about, but I haven't played it enough (at all) to know personally.
I play Smite since Voffie got me into it (and so my play games with friends skype chat actually plays games again). Unlike LoL and Dota, Smite has actually managed to hook me surprisingly. I like how it's in 3rd person and how the game feels more like an action game and less like an RTS (I'm more familiar/comfortable with action).
Though I will say that some balance in Smite is pretty jank.

Which ones have I played? League of Legends, DoTA, Heroes of the Storm
Which one do I prefer? Heroes of the Storm. Mostly because, as Honest Game Trailers puts it, games end at 20, which is about as long as any sane person would play a wrist rocking clickfest. Also, there's more than one good map. And blue shells. Nobody can complain when the game is half luck anyways (though that doesn't prevent them from doing so anyways)
Overall, I don't play much of any of the above. All the characters I play are ranged support (Brightwings and Tassadar from Heroes of the Storm), troll-y (Techies from DoTA. If one of the developers of any non-DoTA MOBA is reading this, I demand Techies in all MOBAs. Now.), or troll-y ranged support (Bard from LoL). None of the above sit well with the "lovely" community that is MOBA. It's fun for vs AI though or with full teams of friends together since nobody wonders why the hell we start Zilean middle or why our Xin Zhao charges into combat when everybody else is running away or why Bard has got more kills than the rest of the team or why we are using global taunt Teemo (Teemo in bunny custom built with pure tank items). Incidentally, those are all all situations I've seen. Basically, we do something along the lines of drink, laugh, and play video games. Though even then games like Borderlands tend to be better at it.

I did play strife for awhile as well(forgot about this one as it pretty much sucked for gameplay). The community was the only good thing it had going for it at the time. I'm not sure if any improvements have been made since then though.

Strange, I tend to see people complain more because of luck-based factors than anything. You know, so they get to pretend it's never because of their mistakes.
I believe in judgment of humans through their judgment of fiction, for nothing else tells better of their disposition freed from apprehension.

Bard having more kills than the rest of the team is pretty common though. For being a heavy utility guy his damage is fairly high. They could tone back the base damage on his q without hurting the basic identity of him being the quintessential support. But that's off topic.
Full support Bard has <100 damage auto attacks and almost no damage from his skills. Full AP Bard is powerful...but full support Bard does nothing of value damage wise. And I always play full support Bard.

The thing for me is most complains on MOBAs are of their teammate's skill (and never their own). So now the #1 complaint is weakened since we can all pretend it's just the game's luck factor.

I would love to play Smite with my friends, but Voffie decided to get us in the game then ditch us since we're noobs.
Also I realized another thing I liked about SMITE. Everything in the game is a skill shot, every skill to auto attacks you need to aim properly and it can be dodged by just by some good movement. One of my favorite things to do when playing a melee god against another melee god in lane is to attack their tower and circle it in a way that the enemy god can't hit me without ranged/AoE attacks, they don't know how to deal with it and just chase me while I kill their tower. It's great, no one I've played has figured out how to counter it.
