Welcome to the Weekly Spriting FES Contest. Your job is to create a mug using only what is given to you by me or some other staff. You may only use parts of those 2-3 mugs, and that includes colors.

You get a week from when the mugs are posted to create your splice and post it here. You may edit it as the week goes on, but at the end, I am taking whatever you posted last, so be forwarned.

At the end of the week, I will gather all the submissions and create a poll for the public to judge. This is to avoid any judge bias or anything. It is simply which one the public likes the best. If you lose, be a good sport. If you win, your name will be put in the "Contest Winners" topic once it is created. If you get a big enough streak....I dunno, you might get a special prize =P

This is how the schedule will work.

Um...um...um...Blazer said we weren't supposed to do one of these again because people get into fights...

I might compete, providing it stays.

The difference is judges vs. people's opinions.

Judges are biased no matter what way they try not to, while polls are saying "Which one do you like best", which should avoid the problem entirely from the frist contest.

That's why it's only Semi-Official >.<

Shouldn't the winner be allowed to pick the next set? The only those color rule is kinda dumb man.

They should, but this is only week 1, so we have a minimum 2 week difference before that should hit.

Also, the color thing is to use the best colors given the mugs. Though, actually, I am thinking going to change the mugs for this week, due to lack of colors avaiable (Green, purple, or FE8 blue xD)

I might change it though...this is the test week after all..

If we do keep the only the mug set colors, I suggest we don't mix FE8 colors with FE6/7. Not many people are good with doing that, leading to a non active contest.

Ok, I just want to see what people do with this, and take their feedback.

It's just changing the outline color and a few colors inside

Of course, you could be right and no one could do it v.v

^ Trust me. People will do it if they don't have to work with FE6/8 color mixing.
I still say have all colors usable instead of colors just from the set. (We don't want three green haired Emphiam knights.)
I just saying that most people want to have a choice over their colors so they could have it as a hack character.
Color limits are bad for spriting contests that have them.

There are 2 different contests 0.o

One is a theme, the other is a splicing...

So I don't get what you said.

@Eclipse - Are those colors in the original mugs? If they aren't fraid you have to change them for contest purposes (I might change that rule next week, don't worry.)

So, I want to enter, but I'm not going to be able to sprite until August 6th, the earliest... Can you please extend the deadline to August 7th for me? I just want to get something up so I can say I did something and make more entries, and we should try and get more people to enter to make it more of a competition.
