it's like, shit dude, it's four sectors in one of the most influential nations in our history. What the deal.
I also can't stand it when my fellow Americans don't know where the fucking states are on the map.

To be fair, I'm a Canadian and I don't know most of your state capitals.
I try to make up for it by knowing way too much about the American political system (Such as literal ties in elections or stalemates in the electoral college...you guys are screwed if someone ever creates a viable third party)

Well state capitals are one thing, they can throw you curveballs here and there. Like, who knew the capital of Pennsylvania is fricking Harrisburg? They don't even have a damn sports team.

I'm uncultured and lazy
I generally only have the knowledge I was forced to learn and had enough reason to remember *shot*
I know where the states roughly are, but if you show me a blank map of the states and say "name this one!" I'd probably screw up, especially on the east coast with all those little states. I mean, I haven't studied that stuff in ages, and I don't look at maps of the U.S., like, ever. I hardly travel anymore. You can't expect me to know this! I have better things to know, like the names of all the playable Fire Emblem characters in the GBA games!
