Well there are a lot of stray pixles and some brown spots in his hair near the headband.
The neck is also messed up.

The face is a total mess, the armor is pillowed to no end, and he is oddly shaped.

Hair looks like a garbled mess ._. (Severely pillowed as well)

I agree with what you said about the hair, but the intention on the armor was for it to be pillowed so that it would look bigger than it actually was (didn't work).

The headband, it just disappears ._.
The eyes look soul-less/posessed, the right eye (OPV) doesn't even look like an eye...
Hair looks just like a marshmallow... (severely pillowed)
Eyebrow looks like it's connected to the hair >_>
Everything on the clothes is pillowed...
Also, everything looks "sharp" and "jagged" on your lines... like the clothes are about to stab someone ._.

You have borders on the bottom. There is no outline on the bottom, at least there shouldn't be, remember the body doesn't ACTUALLY stop at the bottom. Get rid of that, I'm shocked no one mentioned it already.
Before you go trying to shade stuff get an outline that is extremely good. Once you refine your outline THEN you can go shade and it will be much more easier and efficient and your sprite will look better.

That "thing" on her head. Shadow guessed it to be a headband, I guess it to be a tiara or something. But you probably knew what he was talking about, for "headband" implies it's on top of her head, and there's only one thing on top of her head.
So try focusing on the criticism he provided rather than doing some nitpicking about word choice. Besides, the fact he couldn't tell what the hell it is also criticism, perhaps just not intentional.
