...Now for the record, I absolutely despise Sacae's route. I've had 2 people die during that route, and the enemies are REALLY annoying. Funny thing was, not a single Swordmaster on that route criticaled me -- even the Killing Edge/Wo Dao swordmasters. It was just the Nomad Troopers that really pissed me off and Bolting Sages (there was TWO of them in that one chapter, where they were in the middle, and the map was REALLY small, so they had you everywhere you go. The fact that there were also KILLER ballistae there as well made the chapter annoying. In short, in this chapter, you're REQUIRED to use either a Sleep staff or Silence staff use. If you don't have either, you're ****ed. It's an instant Game Over.
I favor the Ilia route A WHOLE LOT MORE because of this reason.

The Ilia route is easier to me. Sacae's there if I want a bit of a challenge.

I think I ended up taking the Sacae route because I didn't use any of the four characters, and thus those two were a higher level. Meh.

If you can't find the meaning of "challenge" in the dictionary, choose the Sacae route.

Sacae is the much better of the two, it's tougher, more interesting and you get a better Character Dayan > Yunno
I do like Ilia's Ch.20x though

I never played through the Ilia route but Sacae in hard mode is oh I can't even explain it...

I never used savestates in FE6 :/ not in my first playthrough anyways. I was going to take the Ilia route in this playthrough..

Sacae......well....... If i was living there I would like it. But in the storyline its just pretty annoying. Especially the chapter that you get bartre and you protect the eturian people.

I just like using pegasus knights more than the nomads... so, obviously, I got the Illia route...

I haven't gotten that far, but I plan on going to sacae since I almost never use Peg Knights. It also seems like a more interesting place to go.
Is snow as annoying in this game like it was in FE7? That'd make Illia a pain to travel in...

It as never a big deal to me. Just bring chest keys and door keys on that chapter and you should be fine.By that chapter, you should have a decent healer and a sage that can heal. Even Niime would suffice. Sacaen route was challenging, I did have to restart a couple of chapters, but it wasn't even as hard as EHM IMO.
I won't remove this until I get a killtacular in Halo MLG- Started December 29, 2010.
