Scrim used Pheonix down! inb4 I'm reported for necroposting I dare everyone to come back to this thread, look at your resolutions, and review them. What did you accomplish? How did you change? Why? Don't get too personal, but I'm interested to see how every one did.

QUOTE (Scrimsax @ Jan 4 2013, 09:35 PM)
Well I have one New Years resolution that is distinctly not appropriate for the forum >.> But i suppose by the end of the year I want to finish FE7C and Rise of the Clans. I realize as I write this none of you know anything about RotC... I'll have to post something.

Oh and finally get and keep a happy relationship!

I wonder what that first part means... I'm gonna go ahead and say I didn't accomplish it I Guess XD So much for either of those hacks going any where... damn has it really been a year since I came up with those ideas?

Oh and that last part seems to be happening better than I ever expected, so heres to that!

-Jump off of a building
-climb down a cliff
-flip over a car

-learn to do a backflip
-learn the one inch punch
I think that's a good set of goals for the week. Oh wait you said the YEAR?
-graduate from high school
-get accepted into college
-attend a few cosplay conventions

LOL OMG LOL

Wanna know what's even funnier? I ACTUALLY DID MOST OF THIS STUFF. XD What the heck man. XD

I climbed down a cliff while hanging out with AJ

I flipped over a car in a parking lot

I haven't caught my nunchaku with my foot. (Honestly haven't touched them in a while. Need to refresh my skills)

I figured out how to do a back flip.

I did figure out the one inch punch

Still working and saving money for college

And I went to quite a few conventions this year.

LOL I'M SO AWESOME. I CAN'T BELIEVE I DID THAT STUFF. XD

Hm... well, I'm pretty much done with TLP--though I've yet to release the final star or hard/chaos modes, but that's no biggie--but I can't say my family or school situations have gotten any better. Heck, the latter got worse, lol.

With a new year coming, I think it'll be time for some new new years resolutions. I think mine will be "to survive"... that in itself is hard enough sometimes.

I told myself that every year while in undergrad. It's definitely tougher than it looks!

As for me...

1. Finish grad school (should be next fall)
2. Get a full-time job in my field
3. Finally stop dating trashy women and, dare I say it, find a nice girl and have a stable relationship.
4. Finish book three.

Not necessarily in that order, clearly.

Those are some IMO big resolutions, but all the more power to you if you complete them... and heck, power to you so you CAN complete them.

I'd like to get a working engine for my game done, even if it's just the bare minimum. That's not an unreasonable goal at all IMO, given I'll have a year, haha.

This may be harder to do than the former (not just staying in it yourself, that's probably the smallest problem), just so you know.

^ That's exactly what I meant, really.

It's particularly difficult because, like, you know that one nice guy thing, where the guy only ever tries to act nice because he thinks that's what women want which will get him sex? There are so many girls out there that are like that the main reason why it isn't something people point out is because of its omnipresence, with the main difference being that they are aiming for more than sex. (And they had to practice it so much they got extremely good at getting into the habit of acting that way in a natural looking manner.)

The truly hard part is finding a person who is a nice girl over someone that simply acts that way because she's afraid. (Same goes for girls looking for guys.) It could be entirely possible that many of the trashy women you see used to seem like nice girls in their pasts...they just don't bother doing it anymore because they're not scared enough to use that behavior to try protecting themselves from ostracization.

I believe in judgment of humans through their judgment of fiction, for nothing else tells better of their disposition freed from apprehension.

Or it could be women act trashy to be accepted as a part of their "group". This is really more present in high schools than anywhere else I guess but it is one possible reason. I'd give an example but I don't want to sound like a total asshole in the process.

I only have one resolution this year and that is too start preparing for all the traveling I have planned for after I graduate. I have plans to visit people in California, New York, Maryland, and I also want to hit up the French quarter in New Orleans (the beignets need to be eaten). So basically my resolution is to get a job...not necessarily a legit one, but a job nonetheless. Maybe under the table so I don't have to pay taxes.wouldn't that be nice...Anyway if anybody has some real nice travel locations please share because add long as I'm traveling the whole US anyway I might as well hit up whatever along the way.

This year, my resolution is:
-To have IS released.
