I really disliked the drawn-out/tedious nature of Dream Team where the game mostly felt like one big detour, so i have a feeling I was right in passing this one up, quests are cool and whatnot I just kind of like my content too feel fun and meaningful and I can't stand when games drag on, if there are like fetchquests or such that are mandatory that sounds especially bad, I like the Mario & Luigi humor and combat system but they put out so many of the games anyway (and I haven't even beaten Superstar Saga) so I guess I just don't feel the urge to play it, and based on what you said it doesn't sound like I should feel too bad about that XP

You were right to skip it. If you aren't as patient than I am then this is not the game for you. A friend of mine on a Discord server was absolutely pissed about the game and how Luigi was treated by Starlow.

DKC2 was solid, a bit hard I think? a little confused by the /SNES/GBA thing though, was there a release of the game on the GBA? could the GBA really run an SNES game? I'm so ignorant/confused lol

Don't think I ever beat this game, might have played it but I'm not sure, if I did it was probably on an emulator since I never had a Genesis (sadface)

never played a Puyo Puyo game (maybe one day I'll play the Switch one) so not much I can say for this

Sonic's a nice series and I liked the 2D ones, I can't remember which is which anymore but I probably beat this one, and I think I beat 2 and 4 too, anyway, good stuff, based on your completed games it seems like you enjoy platformers a bit, I do too so yay lol

There is a GBA version that DKC2 got but it came with a boss that the SNES version didn't have. I haven't beaten that version yet so I don't know what's all in it.

Not a lot of people that I have heard or even knew has. It can be rough first playing but as you practice you get a better idea how to make chains. (That is a good choice. I have that one and haven't put it down since it came out. My mom is really good at getting All Clears which shocks me.)

I enjoy platformers as well as other genres. If it looks fun and is fun then I will enjoy the game no matter what genre it is.

Anyway it is time to get to the list.

Mario & Luigi Paper Jam/3DS/June 23rd

- I honestly had a lot of fun with this game. There were quite a bit where I had laughed. The game was difficult since you had Mario, Luigi and Paper Mario to control so getting used to three of the bros was a challenge in itself. I had fun with this game until the final stretch. Once I got to the final stretch I just wanted the game to end. That is the problem I had as well as there being too many fetch quests of finding toads and minigames. Don't get me wrong I liked the quests as well as the minigames but I felt there were too many where I had to skip the optional ones just to speed up the game. I can forgive this since the final battle was pretty awesome. It is a good game but it isn't great but it isn't bad either. To me it is an alright game. I played this game on and off so it took some time for me to beat it.

It has been awhile and that means time for another list of games I beaten.

Donkey Kong Country 2/SNES, GBA, Virtual Console/May

Sonic & Knuckles/Genesis, Virtual Console/May

Puyo Puyo Tsu/SNES, Genesis, 3DS/May 30th

Sonic the Hedgehog/Genesis, GBA, Virtual Console/May 30th

- I know this is everyone's favourite game in the Donkey Kong Country trilogy as it is mine but not as much as a favourite than the first game. I actually played this game 102% while I was visiting my brother since he had it on his Super Nintendo and thought I should just play it for good time sake and just beaten it pretty quickly. It is still my favourite to this day.

- Sonic and Knuckles is a good game and I got to play it at my brother's place on Sega's Genesis mini and... Well... It is terrible. The controllers are wireless and if you want to change batteries you will need a screwdriver to open the back which is stupid. Anyway I Sonic and Knuckles but in my opinion it is not as great unless it is combined with Sonic 3.

- Oh man I am so happy I got to play this and it is really easy to beat in free play which is the only mode I got to play but it is still fun nonetheless. Puyo Puyo Tsu is the second game in the Puyo Puyo Series and I am quite happy I got to play it. It is as fun as I thought it would be and I definitely see myself playing through it again many times over. I am only able to play it on the Sega 3D Classics Collection which is why I have it in the first place.

- I also played this on Sega 3D Classics Collection and honestly Sonic the Hedgehog is pretty easy. I honestly believe it is a game you can waste some time if you are ever feel like playing something short.

Donkey Kong Country

Golden Sun/GBA, Virtual Console/ April 24th

Puyo Puyo Tetris/PS3, PS4, Wii U, Xbox360, Xbox One, Switch, 3DS/ April 25th

- I absolutely love this series and always come back to it at least once a year to beat it. Golden Sun is one of the best JRPGs in my opinion and always will be and also what I believe is pretty underrated. If you are looking for a good JRPG I suggest giving Golden Sun a try. You will not be let down.

- I honestly cannot believe this is happening! It still feels like a dream to this day. Ever since I heard about Puyo Puyo Tetris I have been wanting it to come to the west and now that dream has finally came true as it has gotten a localization for the Switch and PS4. For those who are unaware it is a puzzle game mash up of Puyo Puyo and Tetris if you cannot guess from the title. I do not have to explain what Tetris is since it is pretty damn popular but as for Puyo Puyo if you have played Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine or Kirby's Avalanche (or Ghost Trap in the UK) then you have played it before if not then it is a puzzle game where you connect 4 of the same colour called puyos while making chains to send garbage puyos to your opponent. It is pretty simple to figure out given time. Anyway onto the game. I had a lot of fun playing the adventure mode and honestly I really like the writing. There are certain stages where I had quite a bit of trouble but beating the game took no time at all but the real fun is the multiplayer. There are other modes where you can play Puyo and Tetris or just Puyo and just Tetris, another where you swap between Puyo and Tetris and another where you play Puyo and Tetris on the same board which is called Fusion. I played more of Fusion than any other mode thus I have gotten really good at that. Good luck beating my 10 chain + 4 lines. Anyway I recommend this game if you are a fan of either Puyo Puyo, Tetris or both.

I have beaten more games since last time I posted so here we go.

Super Mario World

Donkey Kong Country

- Mega Man X/SNES, Virtual Console/April

- Mega Man X 2/SNES, Virtual Console/April

- Donkey Kong Land/Game Boy, Virtual Console/April

- Donkey Kong Country/Game Boy Colour/April

- For those who remember I played and beaten this game quite a long time ago on a month called Mega May and... Well let's just say I beaten Mega Man X many times now and not to mention having done a race against a friend and getting slaughtered but it doesn't matter because I love this game and will play it as many times as I need to like how I do with Mario World and Donkey Kong Country.

- Mega Man X 2 is another game I played and beaten last Mega May. I love this game as much as I do with the first game so there really isn't much to say since it is Mega Man.

- Donkey Kong Land is one of those games I have never played as a kid and now owning it on the 3DS Virtual Console I enjoy this game a lot. It has great music and the game in general is fun to play which is what I look for in a game. I definitely recommend this game if you want to play a Game Boy game on the 3DS Virtual Console.

- I know I crossed out the name the first time but believe it or not this is a different version. It is the same game but on the Game Boy Colour with an exclusive stage that you don't get to play in the SNES and GBA versions. This version is much harder than the SNES and GBA versions since it plays a little slower when it comes to movement but I can easily get used to it. I honestly had a lot of fun with this game but compared to the SNES version when it comes to my skill let's just say it is a huge difference. This playthrough I burnt through probably 75 lives while my last playthrough on the SNES version I only died once having not lost a kong till Misty Mine. Despite that I had as much fun with the GBC version as I have with the SNES version.
