Had a big paragraph wrote, closed the tab by accident. :/ Basically, I disagree with Rennac because we have few RPs ongoing. And I disagree with Mercenary because I can't see any benefits of the leveling system. No stats upgrades, and if low levels can godmod but not get any levels from it, but they can godmod, then levels don't matter. And if you mean adding them to the mini-profile, they would just be insulting to the forum members who don't RP.

Kensai's right, we won't get this RP up here, because the more casual RPers will just godmod and not care if they don't gain levels, and the more serious ones will just get pissed because everyone else will be godmodding and... Yeah. (Look at The Opening Book 2 topic for a prime example of this. Actually, about 80% of the later posts were godmodding. Mostly by me.) I just don't think this will bode well. Meh.

Well, we could have a locked forum with the RP in it so that you need to be accepted first. And of course, we have a Mod working on the RP, so if you don't follow the rules...

Locking is inefficient in so many ways, especially since people outside can't see what you're saying, the password could easily be leaked, and it's just simply not inviting, which is the whole purpose of the forum.

I just don't believe this system should be implemented, especially not just for one RP.

Maybe instead of a punishment system, we could have a reward system of some sort?

That would work, but that would require a closed system, so the members in the RP don't get more gold/ posts/ other stuff then the others who aren't. I'm not sure, but I bet that would be a lot of extra work for an RP that might just flop anyway.

That's the thing though. The system that is being suggested is a reward system.

The mods are doing stuff, in the protected forum.

Unless you meant for this RP, which already requires the mods taking place, and alienates the rest of the forum like I previously said. I just don't think the suggested RP system would work on a forum wherein RPing is not a major part of the forum.
