Quick summary:

-Parallel Proofs change your class but your level doesn't reset

-Personal Skills confirmed (such as "Nohr Hater" and "Unlucky Soul")

-The seven new characters are Cyrus (Both), Elfie (Nohr), Harold (Nohr), Hinata (Hoshido), Oboro (Hoshido), Linca (Hoshido), and Tsukuyomi (Hoshido).

I really like the fact they added in Personal Skills, and I also like the changes done to reclassing (though Second Seals are still unconfirmed).

not going to spoil myself on all the character details, but

 

I like Parallel Proofs, are second seals still a thing?

 

Also personal skills are great, I'm quite a fan of fixed things (classes, skills) for a few reasons, so I like it. I'm not a huge fan of "any character can be almost any class and have almost any skills", it feels like it takes away from the characters a bit for me.

 

Anyhow, I'm slowly becoming more and more hyped for this.

Second Seals still unconfirmed but I will be surprised if they're not in the Hoshido route. And yeah I agree on the personal skills thing, gives them a bit more diversity and personality.

Personal skills sound really cool, kinda reminds me of Valkyria Chronicles. I hope they add some cool ones though, in Valkyria you started to see the same ones over and over.

Hah, I thought of valkyria chronicles too when I read personal skills.to be fair though VC had a lot more characters than an FE game that isn't shadow dragon ever will. Making unique skills for 100+ characters would be a bit difficult. In an FE game it's much more feasible.

The fact that one of the examples is "Nohr Hater" immediately brought VC to mind for me, too. Tank Hater, Lancer Hater, Trooper Hater... It would be interesting if Fire Emblem brought in some negative skills, too, so that individuals that are otherwise very similar can have more specific roles.

personal skills isn't really a revolutionary concept, I'm thinking the skills won't necessarily totally be "unique" but it'll just be a fixed skill a character has that can't be removed, and probably a lot of them won't be too great (like some might just be small stat adjustments or such, idk)

I feel the need to point out that as far as costume insanity goes the armor is much worse

 

you can make a decent argument for Rinka being so unprotected because she specifically chose to be for mobility reasons or whatever (even if a few more layers wouldn't hurt) and in general she seems to be designed to give off the look of someone that's more used to a primitive lifestyle, which the design overall accomplishes

 

now, onto armor

 

heavy, metal, surprisingly flexible, expensive, "I ain't dying today" armor

 

It's actually not particularly stupid to decrease the strain it would have on your torso to give particularly large breasts some room to not be squished forever (disregarding the flexibility issues and whatnot and how if she has the muscles to deal with wearing half of that all day I don't know how the hell all that fat is staying there)

 

it is COMPLETELY STUPID to make it simulate bare cleavage (this thing is supposed to COVER YOU)

 

there is NO AESTHETIC THAT IT CONTRIBUTES TO other than making the wearer, and the designer, seem pornographic

 

I don't know who invented this idea but they need to die if they haven't already. It's even dumber than the muscle-armors ancient Greeks liked.

As far as Rinka being impractical, keep in mind that certain cultures have charged into battle naked, largely for the psychological effect. Super-buff Rinka swinging a hunk of sharp metal around could hypothetically have a similar effect. Admittedly it's pretty anachronistic to have someone doing that given the implied technology level of FE, but it's better than a lot of what we've seen. Personally I find it easier to suspend my disbelief for Rinka than for random exposed thighs, for instance.

I am glad that Rinka is dressed like that because those muscles NEED to be shown off. Powerful and beautiful and I could just flood a community with the amount of drool flowing out.

Well considering Rinka is like a tribal chieftain, her attire makes more sense than what some of the people in an actual army are wearing.

Don't let the subdued response fool you, the hype just cannot be put in words. Also Joker's voice is wonderful and I swear to god there better be dual audio for this game.

 

I'm disappointed in being unable to visit Tsubaki in the bath without getting chased out. I know now for sure that I'm playing female.

I generally like the My Castle thing, except for that Fucking face rubbing. What are we, Love Plus? This is just... just so otaku pandering stupid. And to a lesser extent the bath house. I would've been fine with it if you would just meet same sex character's, but I when I saw the walking in on opposite sex character's and getting chased out I felt like I was in a stereotypical anime. Ugh. Though all in all it looks pretty cool, except for Luna being a Severa look a like. Also Marth and Ike look amazing.

I echo Cero's claims with this... It's a call feature but the extent it was taken to is just... Too "anime" for me.
