True, but I honestly don't think it's hard. I mean, hard mode yes, but normal? I'd give it a 7/10 for difficulty. In comparison, I'd give FE10 normal a 9/10 for difficulty (At least on the first playthrough.)

I just think he's not using Trent, under the assumption that he's a Jeigan. He's an Oifaye. The more you know~

Idk what an "Oifaye" is... nor has it really interested me since I'm not a hardcore FE gamer.

No, I'm not using Trent, I guess that's why your patch is unreasonably tough. It took me over an entire video just to beat one of the lame bosses. And I had to get lucky to avoid losing ANOTHER character--I already lost Sean once, so I restarted, and I lost the Pegasus Knight in chapter 2 and didn't feel like restarting so kept going on.

That being said I haven't played FE4 past the prologue, so maybe you're right, but that just makes FE4 a crappy game, because unreasonably hard games don't deserve people to waste their time playing them, trying to beat them.

Well, I find it pretty hard, I guess I'll have to start using Trent for stuff besides rescuing and once-in-a-while rescue-killing?

Just because you suck too much to beat a game, doesn't mean it's bad. And, FE4 is an amazing game. And, my patch isn't unreasonably tough. Unless you're playing on hard mode. I'd agree to hard mode being unreasonably tough.

And, an "Oifaye" is one of those paladins/promoted units that you get at the start of the game who DOESN'T suck. Seth, Titania, FE7!Marcus, Oifaye. They're all considered Oifayes.

I found 2 bugs

1. Elliot's battle sprite palette is messed up in NPC form.
2. Ch2 Boss, Kinbois, his chibi is garbled. Might want to fix that.

Sucking too much to beat a game != game being too hard for me to beat it. I didn't say your game was bad (I said it was good, sheesh) and I only said by what you said about the difficulty FE4 would be a crappy game IMO because games that are too difficult aren't any fun. I haven't actually played FE4 so I'm not actually judging it...

We're definitely getting off-topic with our discussion though, I'd be glad to discuss it on AIM anyhow. Also, I should be uploading the LP today, and I'm going to try harder to make the last two chapters have slightly better commentary despite the fact that my lame microphone is still in use.

Well, first, it's a beta, and:

1. Can't fix that. NPC and Player aren't separate palettes. They share colors and when it's green the palette messes up.

2. I totally forgot about his mini, and didn't insert it xD I'll finish that.

I'd like to point out that the only reason you believe you can't fix the NPC palette is that most techniques are completely hopeless when it comes to editing the NPC, Enemy, Link Arena P4, and Link Arena P1 palettes. However I actually know a palette editing technique which can do that, I just need to make a tutorial since I haven't seen anyone else who uses it.

If you want to see an example of such palettes being edited, play demo 0.1.1 of Gorilla Gadek SG and use Adeline, Milena, Neena, and Bryndis in the link arena. (so far they're the only player characters with complete palettes)

(Note: The completed palettes aren't in demo 0.1.0, which is the current general release, so as of now Seph is the only one who can check that out.)

Actually, Mage Girl, I know how to do it as well. I just have been too lazy to fix Kevin's palette in Tactics Universe, most everyone else's palettes should be fine. The easiest way to prevent mix-ups like that is to just use the palette of someone who is already meant for that class--that is to say, if you need a warrior palette, base it off of Geitz' data, and then recolor it. Their are colors that change dependant on allegiance, and colors that typically stay the same regardless of allegiance (mainly hair and skin colors).

Like you, I'd write some doc about it, or a tutorial, but it's one of the many things I just haven't had the free time to do. XD

Anyhow, Seph isn't to blame for the messed up palette, until he knows how to fix it even though I kinda just said the very basics of how he can't do much about it.

You'll need a UPS patcher and an English ROM of Fire Emblem 8 to patch this and get it working.

This patch goes up until chapter 8. I haven't changed anything starting at the beginning of chapter 9 and past.

Ooh, a new patch. I'm not going to continue my crappy LP (as if I have the time ) but anyhow it's good to know that there is some progress on this hack since I haven't heard anything about it for a loooong while... XD

Very nice Seph I will try this out when I get home from work today. I'm hoping this gives me a little drive to continue working on my project. But again good job with this project.

EDIT: Played the first two chapters. Not bad so far, just wanna say Gerrad or the chapter one boss has a weapon rank in lances so you can change that if you want.
