Mavs to win, because Dirk deserves it. |
This. How awesome of a sports story would it be to have Dirk and his Mavs beat the Heat?

Anything's possible with Nowitzki. As long as they play good D and maintain possessions (i.e. not too many turnovers, and limit Heat's offensive rebounds) they got this in the bag, because offensively they're doing pretty well.
Man this series has been one of the greatest ever. And I was SO excited yesterday watching the game, while rooting for the Mavs like they were my own team...

The Mavs and Dirk overcame all odds and beat Kobe and the Lakers along with LeBron, Wade, Bosh and Heat. That's saying something.
They really did deserve it, and I'm happy for them (them being Dirk ).

Whereas the Heat are the "evil" of the NBA--aside from the Lebron drama, their whole team is "rigged", gaining 3 all-stars, two of which are pretty much superstars, on one team. Not only that but it was done in such a poor and distasteful fashion that people across the nation--not just the Cavs--see the Heat as these bad guys.
Think of it this way: no one wants to see someone jump up the ladder of success so quickly, as opposed to all the other teams who are slowly building and working up their teams towards a championship (cough Mavericks).

I felt it was deserved for them, and it had a feel-good factor about it.
However, watching the Canucks blow it made for a good week of sport.

Dirk.
I just found that it completed the sporting week with the NHL.
