yeah...im not good at shading but one of the problems this is from is when i spliced uhai's body with haarkins face the necks conjoined and thats where the whole skin tone got out of wack...
anyways is this any better?

Alright, find a chin from another sprite and put it on there, the one you have now is bleh. The top of his forhead looks weird because his hair doesn't remotely cover it.
Body is pretty good.Even though it is Uhai

haha ok and i would have to let someone else edit the hair/forhead area because when it comes to hair i dont even want to bother, because i know it will turn out wrong just about every time.
as for the chin that's haarkins...so...lol
ill look for a new one. but is the shading on the face better or hardly at all?
edit: ok i hope this new chin is better although i'm doubting it will be

ok so did some thinking on the shading from last post and i think it may be better now (least i hope so)
did recoloring of the hair and armor/cloth

Ok so I'm finally back from vacation (Yay!!) and I have started spriting again lol.
here is one I did today and I think he's turned out pretty good so far.
used generic soilder armor, Roland face and ear, and Ravens hair.

Isaac: Decent, but he's still got some of Ravens red eye color. Also, his entire neck and head need to be moved over one pixel to line up right with the shirt collar. Finally, the left eyebrow kinda cuts off and the hair right above the eyebrow looks a little funny.
Wayne: The neck looks a little wide at the base, and the face angle doesn't quite line up right.
Sasha: Something about her looks off, can't quite tell what, but it might just be those colors, personally I'd try a bit more relaxed colors.
All of them are pretty good for a beginner.

ok so i edited isaac and sasha but as for wayne I am going to have to request help on that because I don't have a clue where to start for edits like those xD
here is updates of the 2. Oh also noticed what you ment about raven color and apparently i missed a few pixels on the hair but apparently changed the eye color when i was doing recoloring xD . Also almost freaked out when i noticed after i finished moving him over a pixel that i edited the wrong one, but i made up for that by just recoloring him =p. also hopefully the hair is better on him, around his eyebrows now. As for sasha maybe this is a better color but im not sure honestly.

Yeah I like Sasha more with those colors, blends better.
As for Isaac he still has some issues I didn't notice before. The shading on his neck is a little funny and there are some random gray shades that are on the outside of his face outline. Finally, that little piece of hair that sticks off on the left (our point of view) looks like it goes on too far as just the black out line color.
Definitely better than the first one though.

Cool well im glad Sasha turned out pretty decent. I was a little hesitant on making a female splice and I probably won't make another mainly due to the fact that most of the females have long hair and splicing that out is a pain in the but and I will more than likely screw it up lol. As for Isaac here is an update, hopefully better on that lil hair part and neck shading. also sea lion if your willing and have extra free time would you fix wayne for me?

Not bad but IMO needs more splice parts for more originality.

I agree, add more spliced parts to it.
Issac is alright....kinda, needs more to 'em.
Sasha is WAY to generic village girl recolor...sorry to say.
And Wayne....is just FE6 Karel hair with FE7 Linus's face and Zealot's armor. Try swapping out Linus's face for someone else.
Again, just add cool part to them, it makes sprites 100% better.

haha thanks ill take that into consideration but i forgot to mention that sasha is just that, a village girl. as for wayne hes all fe6 spliced with fe7 colors. dont get them mixed up (even though its probably not easy to tell)
yeah ill splice in more stuff later. although I probably wont for Isaac seeing as how he I planned on him being just a basic soilder you would recruit in the game.

Ok so I've been working little by little on my lastest splice and I feel he's my most creative so far. He has definately been the biggest pain in the but, seeing as how i spliced together two different armor sets.

Pretty cool, has some issues though. Personally I think his mouth might be a bit big, but that might just be me. However, he does need shading on his skin wherever the armor hits it, so on his right shoulder (our pov) and then on his neck too. also the right arm looks a bit big too, maybe try slimming it down a bit or try using someone elses arm. I think Dieck from fe6 might work with a bit of editing.

I had to look up who Diek was because I have yet to play FE6. xD
Anyways after looking at him for a bit you were right on the mouth, Although I'm not sure how much better this is. Arm looks a lot better now though.
