[Soviet Comrade]

Red/Blue/Yellow. Who DIDN'T play this in their childhood? (Shame on you if you didn't.)

Gold/Silver/Crystal. Amazing Sequel. Red/Lance Battles. Nuff said.

Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald. Not so great. The Black Sheep.

Diamond/Pearl/Platinum. The newest, and most advanced. I'd rank it third best, beating R/S/E out. Nothing beats RBY or GSC though.

The rivals were awesome, the minions were interesting and to some cool, the music was win, and the stories were alright.

Just curious, who do you all think was the best rival? I think Silver was the most interesting, with Blue being the most successful, and the other two (May and Pearl) were trash. May didn't even evolve her starter completely, and Pearl was just a mindless child running around trying to be better than you.

Blue was trying to be the best. Period. And he took the championship (despite Red overthrowing him in 5 minutes) and afterwards, became a Gym Leader.

Silver was amazing, the son of Giovanni and a thief- he even stole his starter. You tried to get it back, and you got an angry enemy out for blood. He didn't even care about his Pokemon until late in the game (hence getting a Crobat..unless he stole that, too).

May was trash. Didn't get rank 3 starter, and barely even accomplished anything.

Pearl was..well..a failure. Like I said, a mindless child trying to be the best with no real goal besides that, or a plan on how to do it.

The games seem to get worse as they go...If you ask me.

However, Gold, Silver, Blue, Red, And Yellow were all excellent...FireRed, and Leafgreen were decent. Sapphire and Ruby weren't bad, but not good either.

@ Question: Hmm. May sucks. all she does is breath, and she's not good at that either. Dawn/Pearl was annoying.

I haven't touched one in ages though.

Played Blue, Yellow, Gold, Crystal, Sapphire. (My brother got the opposite ones)

Blue will always remain my favourite, though Gold was good.

Hmm... I think Gold. I had the most fun with it. Blue wasn't fun for me, cause I abused the infinite Rare Candy glitch >_>

I remember playing Red it was the first game I played (I think), Then I played Blue (same game). I have played Silver.

I pretty much agree with what you had to say. Pokemon was indeed a great series worthy of a lot of recognition, and the games are best in the order that you placed them.

RBY were awesome. Glitches were so prevalent... and my Squirtle was just awesome! I loved getting Butterfree and Nidoqueen and Gyarados so early in the game...

GSC was amazing too! I really loved it... but unfortunately, Kanto was reduced into nothing but a small playground. What a shame. Plus a few things were fixed (finally Ghost attacks affect Psychic types!) However, I think this was the best in the whole series.

RSE... blah. Although the multiplayer aspect got better (thanks to the EV system and natures/abilities), the game itself wasn't too great. Still, Kyogre is cool.

FR/LG is not a good remake of RBY. There's something missing... A LOT missing from the original RBY.

D/P (waiting for Platinum) made Multiplayer MUCH MUCH better. Finally! My Sneasel is at least good for SOMETHING (thanks to the physical/special split). The game itself is pretty good too.

Yeah, they kind of got worse as they went along. Sorry, but i personally preferred Silver to Blue. Eh, whatever, I'm still the best in the country anyway, heh.
