Not featured: an extended edition of it featuring the back half of the piece (the one above has the opening though...and that is, in my mind, the best part):

I've never even played Spirit Tracks, but this song is awesome. Reminds me of something out of Okami or something.

Was just listening to Splatoon 2's lobby theme, but as uh, unique as it is, it can get a little annoying after a while... XP

a classic song for me, perhaps a bit nostalgic too, and one of my favorites from the Tales of series, haha

I'll take Fatalize over it, but I agree that ToS had one of the best soundtracks to it. It's hard to recapture that type of piece today. It's one of the few times where the background music really dominated my experience of the fight...I think it's probably only that, Blooming Villain (Persona 5), and Friends (Persona Q). I'm probably a sucker for overdriven electric guitars.
Incidentally, I'm listening to the last of the three right now.

I like Fatalize a ton but it makes me think of Abyssion, which then kind of leaves a rotten taste in my mouth because I hated that fight lol. And speaking of Symphonia songs that aren't End of a Thought, one song I always forget about is actually the very final boss' theme because of how ridiculously easy that fight is. Its actually a super catchy tune though, I like it a lot.

Fatalize is great too, and I personally wouldn't put one over the other, but Fighting of the Spirit feels slightly more iconic to me, if only because of Tales of Phantasia and how many remixes of it there are, lolol
ToS had a great soundtrack overall, yup
honestly, ToS's combat wasn't actually amazing when I think about it objectively, but IMO the music really helps on that front

I also sort of associate Fatalize with Abyssion a bit, though I didn't hate the fight
I liked challenging myself and all that, and IIRC I learned stuff I didn't know while fighting him, like how you can absorb enemy spells as HP if you have the right equipment, lol
the final boss was indeed rather uh, anticlimactic/easy I suppose, I also remember the tune though, I guess since IIRC the core melody is basically the same as some other song (not sure which though) it's easier to remember or something
also the final boss just kinda didn't make sense to me, but like whatever, RPG's gotta have that big final boss rather than ending it against a normal human, lol
