Teh monocle. It stopped a SNOWSTORM, and had so much power that even Canas could not survive it. All the 'stache does is make it so you aren't slowed down as much by books.

He probably took it off because the 'cold' glass was getting uncomfortable- OR he felt it was too good to bring into the snowstorm, fearing it might blow away. The result: you already know.

Yup. If it works the same way it did back when I started foruming, the pool works this way;
1. You select your vote option, click vote, and wait for the result to go in.
2. It saves your IP Address(Not mask, so proxy shouldn't work in theory) in a databank.
3. When you open the topic again, it checks to see if your IP is in that list. If it isn't, they let you vote.
Fun Stuff. :3
And 7/1, that is the rate of awesomeness of the monocle against the stache. Sounds fair. :3
