These are all pretty solid splices albeit I can still tell the parts... but part of that is just me seeing the characters way too much haha, some of them have too much a resemblance IMO like the Neimi-headed one since the entire head looks kinda the same, but going left to right, the first, second-to-last, and third-to-last all look pretty cool
As far as critique goes I won't say anything too specific for now, your basic spriting execution seems okay anyway, what I might suggest doing is putting in a bit more spliced parts into your portraits and work on meshing those together--that way your portraits are less recognizable and more unique. Instead of just armor + head for instance, try left piece of armor + right armor + (face - minus eyes) + eyes + 2-3 parts of hair and you might come up with something where a normal person can't tell the parts, haha. Granted it takes a lot more work so I wouldn't really blame you if you didn't want to XD
Signature thanks to Shu.

Pretty good! Some of these, like the first one, are actually quite good at combining pieces to "hide" where they were originally from, but other ones are a bit too obvious (mostly the girls). I'd suggest taking apart the hair some more and adding other pieces to try and create new hairstyles, which is a good way of differentiating new charas. Palettes overall look decently matched, which is great .
