Hello!
Well, I came to this forum because I like Fire Emblem (And Scrim hyped it up pretty hard. He wasn't wrong), but! I've found that I really want to learn how to sprite, because I think it's super cool.
So, from what I can tell this is the place to learn.
Would anyone care to teach me?

Welcome to FES! That's Tenebrae for you, he does that. As for teaching you, my own knowledge is limited, but I can link you some tutorials if you'd like, and I'd be happy to give you some critique when you post things.

yeah how about you discourage spriting activity that's a great idea.
Tutorials the best way you can learn. And like fish said we can always critique as you go along. honestly the best way you can learn is just posting what you have and having others lead you in the right direction
