So a rebalance hack, yeah that makes more sense.

 

I think blazer could know how to do that if he didn't forget everything.

To asign a spell to a weapon did you went to the spell association editor in the item folder ther is a drop down menu for which spell to asign, you can use anything.

and make sure to press enter and then ctrl + s before switching to another module

 

(what you described happened is when a character is useing a range 2 weapon without a spell animation. So just the animation playing but nothing happens, but the battle actualy happens like normal so back on the map the enemy will now have the reduced HP or dies if you did enough damage )

 

(actually if you gave the character a magic level he will always use his magic animation which can cause problems)

 

you need to enter 0x12 for the range to get range 1-2.

 

otherwise you don't need to change anything else.

 

If you want to change the weapon lyn gets at the end of chapter 2 you need to change the Mani Kattie itself in the item editor

(just use the slot of the many kattie and change everything up).

 

In case you want to change the text you will need FEditor.

for the weapon name the number and letters after the 0x is the slot you need to search for in the FEditor text editor

the same goes for the weapon description.

If you want to add a new character you will need to expand the rom you can look how to do that in the ultimate tutorial but I don't think it will really be necesery to know how to do that especiall if you are just at the beginnig.

 

Better just take an existing character from the game and change that one. So just edit a character e.g. use elliwoods slot to load Jaffar

 

And also changing the stuff in the text file will only change what it says in nightmare but wont change as what it is saved in the game, that is in the text editior

So I messed around and looked trough the different modules. Well whatever.

However I found a combination which does what you wanted I I understood you correctly.

 

In nightmare module: custom battle animation editor

I think you can use this to make any class have the ability of the bard/dancer with an animation for the dance and other weapons.

You may also want to look into the ultimate tutorial made by blazer there is a chapter about battle animations, it will explain you there what size the image needs to be and some more information about the colours, battle scripts and I think that's it.

 

Oh, and if you don't have FEeditor advance you will definitly want to get that it makes a lot very easy.

 

just go to the Fire Emblem Shine page http://www.feshrine.netand look under hacking and then utilities.

They look awesome especially Favian's hair and also I am glad you are out of the hospital, will be interesting to see the battle sprite animated.

 

Some small things that you maybe  care about:

 

Favian: the tail from the hair doesn't precisely look  like  it is lying on the shoulder (could possibly just be me to be honest)

 

Reinhard: the back part of his head looks a little off (I think its the missing detail as in the rest of the hair) and the background hair in front of him seems to go to far
out.

Actually ignore my comment about Reinhard it only looks like that if you are looking very close at the screen.
