@  Fire Blazer : (24 December 2019 - 03:17 AM) naw, it's when the bots make collaborated efforts to crawl places, lol
@  kirant : (23 December 2019 - 05:20 AM) What do we do on Index Day? Give each other bots?
@  Fire Blazer : (16 December 2019 - 01:39 AM) LOL
@  xcrash1998 : (30 November 2019 - 11:07 PM) New fictional holiday "Index Day"
@  Fire Blazer : (28 November 2019 - 08:52 PM) yeah just guest bots and stuff I think :( we really were active once upon a time though...
@  kirant : (26 November 2019 - 03:48 PM) No invasion. I imagine a lot of guest bots visiting for indexing purposes.
@  xcrash1998 : (26 November 2019 - 02:15 PM) How is most people online at 959 for the 8th of October of this year? Is that right? Did I miss something or was there somekind of spambot invasion?
@  xcrash1998 : (26 November 2019 - 02:06 PM) I know what you mean, it gets awkard to post something unrelated to the current conversation, and even if somebody picks up on it, it would just become a huge mess in the c hatbox if a multitude of groups talk about different topics.
@  Fire Blazer : (10 November 2019 - 11:45 PM) especially better imo if you want to update on a topic but like only occasionally (e.g. a project you're working on or a let's play of a game)
@  Fire Blazer : (10 November 2019 - 11:44 PM) it's hard for me to explain precisely why but forums just like work better for meaningful discussion over a longer period of time ig
@  Fire Blazer : (10 November 2019 - 11:44 PM) but that's def just not hte same ig, idk
@  Fire Blazer : (10 November 2019 - 11:44 PM) yeah, you can also kind of respond at your own pace on forums. Discord conversations are often like... it's awkward to respond to something that happened a while ago, especially if the server is active, but even just in general. since you sort of need to keep track of multiple conversations at once at times, and it's not like it has a good reply/quote system ala forums, closest thing really is to copy/paste or screenshot the text you're responding to and then type a response below
@  Elwood : (09 November 2019 - 11:29 AM) Adding on to what's been said, I just enjoy the order and structure of the forums. You can look through the threads and know exactly what people are talking about. Conversation get lost and buried on discord which is why I'm not a big fan of it.
@  kirant : (06 November 2019 - 05:31 AM) I enjoy that part of forums too. They become niche communities where you can have very specialized conversations as opposed to the cluttered mess in Discord.
@  Ezra : (31 October 2019 - 01:17 AM) Yeah, part of me wishes I could go back to the times forums were more prevalent. I really enjoyed how even several different forums based off the same franchise could feel so different. It's not like what we now is bad though, I just feel nostalgic for old times.
@  Fire Blazer : (30 October 2019 - 06:39 AM) also forums in general are just not as prevalent, there are so many other ways to interact these days, like Twitter, FB, Tumblr, etc., where you can just throw your thoughts into the void. I think that's the real issue and that the only people rly interested in forums these days are either super dedicated to whatever they're about, have a specific reason/need to (e.g. support forums), or grew up with them and are thus attached to the idea enough to continue to try and use them (this was kinda me for a while lol but things happen, I couldn't keep it up forever)

What do you think about death sentences? Honestly, it's a must have, in my opinion. I think it should be used for serial killers, wife/child beaters, and people of that sort. Some people have just done too much to be worthy of a second chance, and they would blow that second chance on more criminal acts anyway, most likely. Sure, some can be trusted to be changed, but it's not easy to trust who is changed and who is acting.

Discuss.

Hmm. Why? I mean, I agree that it is good for serial killers, but people who abuse women and children are just as bad, in my opinion.

Meh, do you think beating is the same as death? I mean they should go to jail for a long time, but not killed

Second chance to redeem yourselves, okay... but starting from third... no. I'm not too keen with capital punishment though, although I realize it is the just way to deal with criminals who committed a terrible crime and all... so perhaps capital punishment is for the good. I'm not sure though... I'm surrounded by liberals who like to enforce their opinions on me, so let me take a while to think about this one.

I don't think beating is the same as death, but children and women are generally fragile. Don't anyone dare call me sexist either, it's just the way we're wired. Children are, well...clearly weaker than adult men, and most, maybe just some, women are weaker than most adult men too. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just the way we are wired. Hence the teachings to never hit a woman. So, as far as I'm concerned, hitting a women or child should be more of a crime than hitting an adult man. With some exceptions, of course. But that's just me.

For a serious crime, of course I want it, it costs less money for the bullets then it does for the food and stuff prisoners get these days.

Serial Killers, Rapists, Serious Robbers, etc. All deserve it.

That is my opinion on it.

Hmm... It depends on what kind. There are always variables, so I think that all of the "major" (20+ years) crimes should be put in a sort of Alcatraz type prison. Stuck on an island. No guards, just a boat patrol. No free (without effort) food, a small stock of food (for months without a harvest) and a huge garden. Just my thoughts.

Pimp my wyvern.

Yay.

I could repeat what everyone else is saying. Long story short, Serial Killers/Rapists/Thieves/Arsonists all deserve it. I'm all for a second chance, but if they did the act more than once, they can burn for it.

I see capital punishment as murder, and therefore don't think anybody should suffer from it. I mean, just throw serial killers and rapist and all those people who've commited the worst crimes you can think in some of the best prisons of the country, and you also should've taken care of them.

Just think about it: if you murder a murderer, are you any better than the murderer himself?

Just think how much money it costs to maintain a prisoner in a prison?

I see no reason to spend tax dollars feeding a murderer.

Nay. It's a highly barbaric, and it's no better than if we killed the man in the middle of the street. Who are we to judge who lives and who dies? Jailing I agree with, but if you kill the guy, it's just wrong. Also, what if it's the wrong guy? With jail, if it's the wrong guy, they let him go. But you can't take back killing someone.

This was in the news here a few months ago for a major murder. They'd locked someone up for 10 yeas before the truth came that it wasn't them.

It also costs $24,888 per year per inmate....

Of course, currently it costs much more to execute someone because people think it isn't humane....

It costs 1-2 million to kill someone currently

However, in my opinion, why bringing back the firing squad (cost of bullets)?

This all would be easier if people thought mass executions. (Line up the people condemed to death, ring out the firing squad, bam)

This pretty much.

^The real cost is more like $20 million, spent from the time the murderer is first imprisoned. Life imprisonment is cheaper than execution.

^ I was talking the execution itself, not the imprisonment before hand.

Sometiems, humanity is not the best solution....

A box of bullets is like $20

Makes you wonder what they are spending it on...
