Right, I know this forum is deadish and all, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to post this here as well.
Preliminary Stuff:
So, once upon a time, there was a girl who played FE7 and thought it tragic that the FE lords' parents always die. She decided to make her own story using original characters and have it so that the main character's dad didn't die.
That was like, ages ago and the original story was lost when my Windows ME comp died. Ever since, these characters have been floating around--although they got revived when I made my awful Link's War hack, also ages ago.
The story has undergone a massive revamp when I recently decided to revisit it, but as always, I felt it would be better as a game than an actual novel. However, I am reluctant to re-enter the hacking community, and then I learned about this thing being built that's called FEXNA. I heard it MAY have a public release in the (not-so) near future, so I was like WELL LET'S START PLANNING ANYWAY. I may not be able to MAKE the game at current, but I can plan its chapters, make sprites, write supports, write the chapter text, etc. Which is what I've been doing.
Game Features:
Story
The kingdom of Triannos has been in a prosperous state of peace for many generations. However, the events of the past are about to have an effect on the present. In the 16th year of King Eric's rule, the neighboring Evoid Empire launches a full-out attack. The story focuses upon the king's son, Prince Ryan Triannos, as he escapes the empire's clutches and is forced to fight not only for his life, but for his kingdom.
Characters:
The game features a total of 29 playable characters, which is small by FE standards, but I believe in quality over quantity. 28 of these characters have supports and alternative endings, while the last is a playable monster unit.
Some player unit characters:
Ryan, the lord:
The kindhearted, sheltered prince of Triannos, who loves to learn and is very curious in nature. He desires to be like his father, but his youth makes it hard for him. He is a somewhat weak unit, but his young age gives him more energy and speed, making him great at evasion.
Kendra, a female thief,
A spy under the service of a foreign king, whose somewhat depressing past has conditioned her to fully dedicated to her master, with no other life purpose. Many do not trust her because she is from Evoid, but she will openly correct anyone who calls her an enemy--she is of Evoidian descent, she says.
Clarence, a lancer:
A serious man from a foreign country, who tends to act selfish at times, but always makes the right choice in the end. He is suffering from a cruel punishment because of something his military partner, Kedar, did.
Kedar, an archer:
A carefree man from a foreign country, who still has issues pronouncing some of the local language's words. He loves puns, jokes, teasing and pulling pranks. Despite this, he conceals a compassionate side.
Molly, a female knight:
A young knight with a mysterious background. She is very shy in nature, and sometimes has problems with her wording. She looks up to one of Triannos' generals, but it's strangely not the one she actually works under.
Neila, a female cavalier:
A rather aloof woman who is far more at home speaking to her horse than talking to others. She has a rather tragic past that compels her to train as hard as she can and become the best knight in the realm. She takes her orders seriously, and has a hard time dealing with people who don't do the same.
Items
I am using standard weapons from FE8, with color edits and name changes. I have edited the names of weapon tiers to be slightly more realistic. (Bronze->Steel->Gilded for swords/axes, Decent/Good/Great for lances/bows) I've also recolored many items, since FEXNA does not require all weapons to use the same palette.
Two particular items worth mentioning are the Big Bad's weapon, Atterox, which has an eclipse motif, and Glevis, which has a sun motif. Obviously, these two weapons are the reason for the game's name and overall theme.
Classes
FE S&E features many of the traditional classes from FE, as well as a few edited lord animations and new classes to feature them. Some animations have been edited to more closely resemble that of the character using them. I also have one custom animation in the works, although progress on it is horrifically slow because I fail at battle sprites.

- Various chapter types, including Survive, Defend, Seize Throne/Gate, Defeat Boss, Route Enemy, and possibly Arrive.
- Various parts of the story will change according to decisions made by the player.
- A possible post-game second route, which allows you to see more of the world and another side of the story.
- EX chapters, which feature characters not currently in your main army and take place elsewhere.
