Who is the best sage? I think it is Soren. He could kill anything with a regular Wind Tome.

Is this about all the games, or just Path of Radiance?
If it's just Path of Radiance, it's indeed Soren. If it's for all the games... I have not even the slightest idea who.

Soren capped out EVERYTHING except Defense and Luck for me. So I'd vote him. FE8 Ewan came out as a close second. Pent a distant third..

Okay, I've come to my conclusion, and it's going to be Saphy, from Thracia 776. Not because of uber stats or something similar, but due to being necessary on ranked runs (which I'll practically always assume).

I really like Pent. He was one of my favourite characters in the whole series. Him or Soren were awesome sages. They were both really powerful and i used them in my team.

Not really. He's good early game for healing and somehow weakening foes, but other than that, he will be very much outclassed by Marik in the end. However, as a surrogate cleric, he's useful for his "tankiness"... although Rena's the best cleric in the game ever.

I haven't played FE9 or FE10 so I choose Merric. He destroyed everything, especially with Excalibur.

He's fast... SO FAST... O_O
But in terms of usefulness... he is VERY useful early and mid game... but dwindles later on.
My favorite mage is Nino because she is very nice. Her son Lugh is also cool... especially for being so amazing in FE6. Lilina is cool too... although lacking in speed and skill. And Hugh... his personality is so awesome! Those are my favorite sages I guess.
