edit- updated the sprite sheet
There are some minor issues like missing pieces and missplaced outlines but I'll fix it up later. One issue I'm worried about is at the end of the critical frame, where his swords look skinny. I'm trying to give the look that they are turned to their side, am I selling it?
If there's any wonkiness anyone sees please let me know, feedback is much appreciated!

Here's a standing frame of my Thief Sprite, with glasses.
And here's my interpretation of a female mercenary.
Its just how I would envision it. I think Mercs are really cocky by nature and are just overall bad ass. Although she looks more like a popstar with a giant sword at the moment. I need to give her the merc aesthetic.
Oh and this is also not final, I just wanted to share it

I think this looks pretty amazing, animated it will look incredible.
I'd like to see the rest of your stuff, is all of it to this caliber?

To be honest this animation is all I have so far. I have mostly standing frames of other ideas I have. Some are just minor customs like a thief with glasses and a mage without a hat.
I have some mugs I've yet to put up and they're just some splices.
I'm going to work on another custom, I know its kind of an overused idea but I'm going try making an actual female merc.
I'll try to give that a standing frame later tonight!

I think the female merc is really good. Gotta say though, your Zagan remake looks like either a fat Naruto or a fat Goku, not sure which to go for.

The ending isn't done. I'm still trying to think of a unique way to return to base that isn't an obvious splice

anyhow good work Ghast, I'm still too busy/dizzy/lazy to give proper critique but try cleaning up some of the slashing frames to look more... refined, like clean up the edges on a couple of them, make sure there's no stray pixels. If you can't see what I'm talking about then just remind me to go into detail one of these years XD

EDIT figured out the choppy part, it was because i set the time to 0.01 and i guess it was too fast so it slowed down. anyway here it is with the critical!
