@  xcrash1998 : (21 September 2018 - 05:46 PM) I like games that actually reward you for reaching more difficult objectives.
A good example would be the golden ballon in Super Mario Oddisey it more like a trophy and less like an in game side note of what you did.
@  Fire Blazer : (17 September 2018 - 07:13 AM) but like yeah I get more trophies/achievements in games that I just happened to play more bcuz the game itself was fun or w/e and it's like oh ok i also will get these things just through doing the stuff i wanted to do anyway, that's cool i guess lol
@  Fire Blazer : (17 September 2018 - 07:08 AM) like they don't rly hurt but they aren't something of particular value, it's kinda like a fancy alert with a title that tells u u did a thing, it's not bad but im not rly one to go out of my way to obtain the validation of a video game through something that can usually just be done via spending enough time/effort on it

(getting to like the top X% of a competitive multiplayer game or smth would be a diff story, but in that case i wouldn't even want an achievement, i feel like just getting there should feel rewarding in itself, so... yeah, lol)
@  Fire Blazer : (17 September 2018 - 07:07 AM) yeah I'm not a trophy/achievement guy lol
@  acceptance : (13 September 2018 - 10:35 PM) That's just not incentive enough for me, man.
@  acceptance : (13 September 2018 - 10:34 PM) Plus with modern gaming a lot of the time the most you can hope for if you get all the collectibles is a trophy/achievement. Which I suppose is valuable to some people, but it's not gonna add anything to the game whatsoever.
@  Fire Blazer : (12 September 2018 - 05:58 PM) like yeah sidequests with an actual crafted scenario to them, post-game dungeons that aren't TOO much grinding/rehashed content, etc. are cool
@  Fire Blazer : (12 September 2018 - 05:57 PM) yeah I only like completionist stuff if it's like meaningful content/not super grindy but usually at some point it becomes kind of annoying so meh
@  acceptance : (11 September 2018 - 01:01 AM) Gotta love unforgivingly difficult super bosses. (Looking at you, Lingering Will.)
@  acceptance : (11 September 2018 - 01:00 AM) I cannot do the whole collectible thing. It always feel so tedious. Sidequests and EX dungeons are always fun though.
@  xcrash1998 : (09 September 2018 - 06:56 AM) So thats perfect for me
@  xcrash1998 : (09 September 2018 - 06:55 AM) I am rather obsessed with completing on 100% unless it is completely unreasonable to do so
@  Fire Blazer : (03 September 2018 - 04:51 AM) if they ever make a sequel/spiritual successor or the like at the very least it should have my attention, haha
@  Fire Blazer : (03 September 2018 - 04:50 AM) so yeah, great, great game overall, I even bought the expansion and played the heck out of that too because it was so much fun. Think I ended up almost 100%ing it (basically fully explored the map IIRC, not sure I did everything but at the very least I should have gotten pretty close).

and I'm not really a completionist either, so again... just speaks volumes about how fun the game was IMO.
@  Fire Blazer : (03 September 2018 - 04:48 AM) Awesome gameplay, sweet enemies, an overall interesting premise and plot along with some solid writing, even the soundtrack was decent for a Western game, lol... but of course, the VISUALS. whew. the game looks soooo good. couldn't help but take pictures even though I don't usually consider myself that kinda guy, lol. the environments and hyper-realistic look are just so visually appealing I was often kinda mesmerized, similar to how I felt with Xenoblade X.
@  Fire Blazer : (03 September 2018 - 04:46 AM) I'm surprised to have finally found some other people who have played and liked that game though. I was excited for Horizon: Zero Dawn and got it at launch and ended up basically binging it, IIRC even putting P5 on hold for a bit, because it was just so much fun.
@  Fire Blazer : (03 September 2018 - 04:46 AM) ouch @ potential april fools lol
@  Rujio : (02 September 2018 - 09:34 AM) Still an excellent game. One of the more interesting stories I've come across in a game, especially an open-world one, and some pretty solid characters and worldbuilding. The gameplay is fun and works really, really well in the setting, too.
@  Rujio : (02 September 2018 - 09:31 AM) Although that article is from April 1st and my google searches are not revealing any other evidence of a PC release...
@  Rujio : (02 September 2018 - 09:29 AM) Ah yes! I just played that game this past summer with my friends (who have a PS4) and it really was great! I'm really glad it's coming to PC so I can have it myself, and also because I've got some PS-less friends who would really enjoy it.

I don't know if anyone else on this forum cares, but here goes...SPOILERS AHOY!

It's of interest to note that one girl revealed in this video was apparently part of a final starter evolution leak a while back:

Spoiler

So yeah, looks highly likely (I say, while hoping with all my heart that it is not true because it has not been OFFICIALLY confirmed yet) that we're getting YET ANOTHER Fire/Fighting starter.

Supposedly though, according to another leak, there's two final starter evolutions. We'll see about that.

On the brighter side: I AM ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH THE ICE VULPIX. I have dubbed it Snowpix and it will be mine. And I will love it to death in whatever the new Pokemon Amie is. <3

Man, Exeggutor is high as a kite.

I'd also like to point out that Alola Ninetales > Alola Vulpix in my opinion.

Still though, I'd love to see if they alter the stats at all.  Exeggutor has a pretty nice type now but needs the stats to back up being a grass dragon.  Please have tanky stats.

(Also, we get Alola Lapras when?  I have wanted a viable Lapras in forever)

You are entitled to your opinion. :P My opinion is that the wispy things on Icetales turns me off. That being said, Icetales could possibly be a dragon Pokemon's worst nightmare, with that ice/fairy typing.

As for stats, according to Pokemon's website on Snowshrew:

"Sandshrew’s body changed to adapt to the harsh environment of the snowy mountains. The Alolan Sandshrew has a shell of ice covering its skin, which is like hard steel. It excels defensively, but it lacks flexibility and can’t curl its body into a ball like a Ground-type Sandshrew can.

Its heavy weight makes the Alolan Sandshrew slower than a normal Sandshrew, but the claws on its hands and feet allow it to move across ice without slipping. When it wants to move quickly, it uses its stomach to slide across the ice like a curling rock."

This seems to imply that Sandshrew's stats will be altered, so this might be a thing for all the alola forms.

I'm really hoping that they fully explore the alola form thing. If we're only going to get like just these Pokémon with alerted forms it won't make much sense. I'm not asking for every Pokémon to be altered mind you, just a decent chunk(maybe 30?)

Edit: more important than the number however is how well it's explained in game lore-wise

This seems good. I can't wait to see how it all lays out, some Pokemon seem legit, like that new Lizard they had that has the ability corrosive so it can hurt steel with Poison moves.

Then I shall rewind time,

When you feel alone,

I'll be there to wipe away the fears,

You can't see me, but I am there." "Jiraiya"

The Pokemon website has some interesting descriptions on how they came to be, such as sandshrew/vulpix moving into snowy mountains and having to adapt. Exeggutor's dragon typing isn't explained at all, though its height is.

Not in-game, but it's something, at least.

I've said this already but it's just so weird

not bad, just like man, it's gotten kinda crazy again, lol. I'm not sure you can exactly call this playing it safe or not, haha. I mean in a way it's interesting I just don't know how to feel about this. I'm neither excited nor appalled, just kind of neutral like "ok then..." lol

new Vulpix is kinda cool I guess

really because even I don't see what I did there LOL

oh hey so those leaks I saw earlier (I think that's what they were) were made official eh. Raichu doesn't look quite as cool IMO but whatever, it's interesting they gave Raichu any attention lol. Marowak is cool and Meowth being dark is... idk, I can kinda see the anime having an alternate alohan or w/e version of Meowth competing with Team Rocket Meowth though (assuming Team Rocket is still a thing, it's not like I watch the anime anymore... >_>')

^ This, basically. lol

Pretty sure everyone did. People are REALLY good at data mining these days... And apparently have WAY TOO MUCH TIME ON THEIR HANDS to be doing this crap. I for one was hoping it was fake because at this point, even Game Freak is splicing things. Those ears? Dragonair.

I am bitterly disappointed in this because I know it won't actually KNOW Surf. And even if it did, Pikachu wouldn't. Because heaven forbid we get a surfing pikachu that isn't an exclusive event! >_>

Honestly, what the hell is new Exeggutor? Why is it Dragon type? Because to hell with reasoning? It doesn't look like one. The others seem okay so far. I like the Vulpix and Raichu.

The Z-moves look silly and feel awkward imo. What next? Dab to no-sell the next attack? Did we need limit breaks?

I don't know, maybe I'm getting old, but it feels like we're really jumping the shark here. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

That said, the new mons don't look too bad - except for why they had to make sand castles evil - don't give people a reason to kick other people's sand castles over and make kids cry.

Exeggutor is dragon type for the dragon palm. It's a bit of a stretch even for Pokémon(heh), but that's the only explanation I can come up with.

Wait...evil? Excuse me while I go look at serebii.

Wait, got distracted by Pokemon Snap being released in Europe.

Okay, here we go.

Sunabaa is a grudge that dwells inside a pile of sand turns into a Pokemon. Truly a terrifying creature
Shirodesuna steals the life force from other Pokemon. Those Pokemon's grudges turn into a new Sunaba.

.........................................

Does it hold a grudge because some kid shoved a shovel in its head? WTH man.
