@  kirant : (03 March 2020 - 05:41 AM) New challenger approaching!
@  xcrash1998 : (26 February 2020 - 09:55 AM) Not anymore
@  Mage Girl : (17 February 2020 - 02:33 AM) I can safely say I'm so far the only person to post to this shoutbox in 2020...
@  Fire Blazer : (24 December 2019 - 03:17 AM) naw, it's when the bots make collaborated efforts to crawl places, lol
@  kirant : (23 December 2019 - 05:20 AM) What do we do on Index Day? Give each other bots?
@  Fire Blazer : (16 December 2019 - 01:39 AM) LOL
@  xcrash1998 : (30 November 2019 - 11:07 PM) New fictional holiday "Index Day"
@  Fire Blazer : (28 November 2019 - 08:52 PM) yeah just guest bots and stuff I think :( we really were active once upon a time though...
@  kirant : (26 November 2019 - 03:48 PM) No invasion. I imagine a lot of guest bots visiting for indexing purposes.
@  xcrash1998 : (26 November 2019 - 02:15 PM) How is most people online at 959 for the 8th of October of this year? Is that right? Did I miss something or was there somekind of spambot invasion?
@  xcrash1998 : (26 November 2019 - 02:06 PM) I know what you mean, it gets awkard to post something unrelated to the current conversation, and even if somebody picks up on it, it would just become a huge mess in the c hatbox if a multitude of groups talk about different topics.
@  Fire Blazer : (10 November 2019 - 11:45 PM) especially better imo if you want to update on a topic but like only occasionally (e.g. a project you're working on or a let's play of a game)
@  Fire Blazer : (10 November 2019 - 11:44 PM) it's hard for me to explain precisely why but forums just like work better for meaningful discussion over a longer period of time ig
@  Fire Blazer : (10 November 2019 - 11:44 PM) but that's def just not hte same ig, idk
@  Fire Blazer : (10 November 2019 - 11:44 PM) yeah, you can also kind of respond at your own pace on forums. Discord conversations are often like... it's awkward to respond to something that happened a while ago, especially if the server is active, but even just in general. since you sort of need to keep track of multiple conversations at once at times, and it's not like it has a good reply/quote system ala forums, closest thing really is to copy/paste or screenshot the text you're responding to and then type a response below
@  Elwood : (09 November 2019 - 11:29 AM) Adding on to what's been said, I just enjoy the order and structure of the forums. You can look through the threads and know exactly what people are talking about. Conversation get lost and buried on discord which is why I'm not a big fan of it.
@  kirant : (06 November 2019 - 05:31 AM) I enjoy that part of forums too. They become niche communities where you can have very specialized conversations as opposed to the cluttered mess in Discord.
@  Ezra : (31 October 2019 - 01:17 AM) Yeah, part of me wishes I could go back to the times forums were more prevalent. I really enjoyed how even several different forums based off the same franchise could feel so different. It's not like what we now is bad though, I just feel nostalgic for old times.
@  Fire Blazer : (30 October 2019 - 06:39 AM) also forums in general are just not as prevalent, there are so many other ways to interact these days, like Twitter, FB, Tumblr, etc., where you can just throw your thoughts into the void. I think that's the real issue and that the only people rly interested in forums these days are either super dedicated to whatever they're about, have a specific reason/need to (e.g. support forums), or grew up with them and are thus attached to the idea enough to continue to try and use them (this was kinda me for a while lol but things happen, I couldn't keep it up forever)

This will also affect planned DLC for Fates.

I'm honestly surprised Marth cam second to Ike considering how Japan generally prefers the more bishounen characters to more mach ones (and that Marth beat him out before). Honestly my biggest surprise was seeing in Finn in it.

kinda meh that it affects DLC, but I suppose it's one way to cater to fans.

was also surprised Finn was in it. curious what kind of people are actually voting on this stuff, since I kind of expected more along the lines of Lucina/waifus in general, lol. perhaps that was a bit presumptuous of me, or else the people voting here are just not so much those kinds of people, I don't know. (I did think the Tellius games, especially FE9, were solid, for what they're worth, so I don't think Ike is a bad #1 pick, nor is the #2 pick... and like, IIRC the top 6 characters are all in Smash 4 in some form, lol)

I think it's safe to say smash 4 most definitely influenced the poll in some form lol.

Isn't Finn the Lance Knight from FE4? Why is he counted as a Lord?

Well, he's around for both parts of FE4, and is relatively important there - I mean, he gets a decent amount of text. He's also quite important in FE5, IIRC, being a sort of Malledus/Jagen hybrid type thing kind of a little bit. He's certainly around for more of it than most characters. Pre-DLC, at least, only the original peg sisters showed up more than him.

I'm rather glad both Lyn and Hector made the list. But I AM laughing super hard at both Eliwood and Roy being absent.

YEP. *guns blazing in rage*

It is a japan poll, so I'm not surprised Marth is high (his games are highly acclaimed there, but here it seems like nobody cares much because Shadow Dragon was a bust and Marth is boring). I am glad Ike got first, but the Smash Bros. bias seeps off the image XD. I'm surprised Lyn got fourth though, that makes me pretty happy actually, haha.

Also, where is Eirika? Ephraim is on there (dead last behind Finn what?! PFT). I would think they might pick her over Ephraim because she's the first one you play as in Sacred Stones. I guess she did get that special Bride Image in Awakening DLC, so maybe that's why. Also, isn't Leaf the protagonist of FE5? Maybe that's not what they're going by, but why Finn over him? Finn is in both FE4 and 5 as a semi-main though I suppose...

Not nearly enough Jugdral love for my tastes. The hell is Lyn doing at number 4?!

Apparently the Lyn disdain is local to FES. Leaf and Sigurd should be on that damn list!

Honestly I'm impressed anyone from Jugdral made it there. Like, those games came out on the SNES. I'm surprised that many people who have played those games are around and voting.

haha they're not that liked in Japan it seems especially since they have red hair or something (lol jk)

haha Jugdral is niche amongst niche, though I can't say it's bad, just like, hardly gets any love in general, lol. Guess I'm just not surprised.

I honestly don't get why Lyn seems as well-liked as she is, but whatever. I mean, I know quite a few people aren't fond of her, but I don't mind her. She's just... fine to me. I don't particularly like or dislike her. I think her promoted critical animations are pretty rad, actually, though last I checked she's not that great of a unit. Are you a Leaf fanboy, Shu? Is this why FEBUZZ has that awful Leaf icon as its profile pic or whatever? I'm surprised people are still following us with that terrible thing. Make it Roy already. *shot*

guy makes a good point. even if there were fans, what with them being so old and relatively irrelevant, you have to be a bit surprised. I mean, FE1/FE3 got remakes at least so I could see Marth being there, and FE13 was recent... FE9/10 isn't that old either, and the GBA games are a bit old but not so much that it's like, yo man, what are those games even, never heard of'em! Meanwhile, FE4/5 are like the dark spots in the FE saga that only the hardcore fans know about along with FE2, that game that came after FE1 that most people seem to forget exists

Finn was an important character, except for whatever archetype for character development he could qualify under, Oifaye did better. Oifaye served as the Jeigan and as what you could call the Malledus, which was usually also the Jeigan.

Where is my Sigurd on this list?
