so what is everyone doing to achieve these jobs

and Blazer i should have been more clear (my fault) but i ment more like what job do you want to work towards doing (as in reality based)

Well in that case...

nothing specific, I think torturingteaching kids could be a fun experience so I might be a high school teacher or professor--then again my eyes might wander if you catch my drift... so professor might be better (not as annoying kids either).

Programming sounds cool but I don't think I'm cut out for it

uyh yeah I'm short on ideas. I'd be a great video game producer in terms of coming up with great ideas and critiquing video games >_>

I have absolutely no idea what I want to do when I get older. I want to go to college, but I have no idea what for... Math is my Forte, but Music is a passion of mine. Too bad you can't make hardly any money in music unless you go big xD.
But going by Blazer's "dream job" idea, I think I'd like to somehow be incorporated into some piece of media, be it TV, Movie, or some sort of music because that would be awesome. Unless of course it's because you're Anthony Wiener

Original plan was to be a writer of prose. New and less ambitious plan is to be a writer of a webcomic and part-time writer of prose.

Most likely a sports broker... I think that's what it's called in English, anyway. It just means sort of managing players, and making sure their transfers to other sports clubs go smoothly and for a good price. If that's not going to work out, it's going to be something else sports related, probably something along the lines of a sports instructor in the military or something.

So something with sports, at least. Aside of that, if I have time I'll probably do some freelance web development work.

Studying History and Classics at Uni, no idea what I want to be but these subjects are very interesting, we'll see where it goes...

Nice, guys. Some friendly discussion, I like when people have things to fall back on. Like Tino and his web-development, Seraph and his artwork or else that was my imagination, me and my various trades that I do, etc., having hobbies that you might get some cash out of at some point in your life just seems cool to me.

In fact I'm already making some money by selling code (check the link in my signature to see what I'm talking about) and by helping out on a php-related help forum. So that provides me with a small source of income already. However, I do not really intend programming/web development to be my life at all. Practicing sports and teaching it to others are the things I enjoy doing most, as well as economics. So something like being an agent for athletes would combine those two things perfectly!

But as you said, having something to fall back on is great

i have my barbacking/bartending to fall back on. im making hella bank doing this right now, but i would be WAY happier being a substance abuse counsler. but having the security of having something to fall back on is comforting

though the irony of the two jobs doesnt get passed me. i want to help (to put it bluntly) drunks n such, but my fall back is serving people drinks. though part of bartending is knowing when to stop serving people drinks but i still find it funny

I have the obvious nerd dream not only programming but making every aspect of my own game solo. Just like Daisuke Amaya who made cave story.

Although after that dream failed so hard for the main character and his friend in the anime Weclome to the NHK I know it will probably never happen.

I want to be in a band. Full time? Maybe. Maybe not. I'll have a back up plan. I've been thinking of being a teacher for young kids. Kids love me. It's kinda funny. I can get just about any kid to listen to me.
