Please vote regarding the issue.

Deleting posts has the following issues:

- Sometimes doesn't work
- Sometimes results in weird topic page stuff and bumping such that there's some weird glitch and a topic might not work
- People can be immature about it (like most anything)

It has the following advantages:

- People can delete their own accidental double posts
- People can copy an old post, delete it, then repost their info along with new stuff, which is in effect a bump without double posting.

I'm against it. Whenever I tried to delete my posts it didn't work. The glitches outweigh it's usefulness.
Also double posts for bumping galleries isn't really a problem in my eyes.

There are double posts for other reasons and double posting within the same day can get to be annoying. However without nubs it's not too much of a big deal because usually only nubs do stupid things like make several posts in a row within a few hours...

The button hasn't worked for me as of yet... If it didn't have any glitches, I'd be all for it. But as it is now, with the glitches and all, I'd say no.

Well, so far I never really used it but I tried it today and it seems it doesn't really work :/ The post is still there so yeah.. if it's not working then I don't think there is any use to keep it in.

So the same as Mage Girl, for now it's a no. If it would work without glitches then a yes.

No. I generally assume people to be dumb unless chosen to do a job for which you're required not to be dumb ; ) Or something.

Just kidding.

I don't think people will discretely use this function. That's reason enough to vote against it. The fact that bugs occur helps, too.

The concept is sound, allowing members that priveledge of deleting their own posts is a good idea.

I get the feeling that if it wasn't buggy, most members would be for it.

Personally, I think it's for the best. Double posts happen, or posting in the wrong topic (go tabs), and it saves time and confusion if you can quickly rectify your own mistakes.

"rectify"... such smart words... lol.

So let's say I force TinoI look up a fix for this somewhere and see if I can find it and I stop everything from being buggy, would you guys be for it? Should I try and do that and keep it off until then, and if I can get a fix, fix it and turn it back on?

Lol you shouldn't take half an hour to turn it off now that you know where it all is. Also does this mean one of your global mods will be an admin now? Like seraph has on and off like a million times

The FEShrine Bot and I will suffice for admins. XD

Also I knew how to turn post deletion on and off from the start... it just takes a lot of time no matter what. ._.
