I'm kind of curious: For the writers out there, I'm sure we've all hit a mental block at some point. Heck, I haven't ever finished a FE mod since about halfway through, I get into "what the hell was I thinking *scraps entire mod*" mode, so I do a lot of writing without going anywhere.
So, when you're stuck, what do you to get past your writer's blockt? (The topic refers to the Greek muses, which were spirits who guided people to make great works)
My own is video games. I've probably got 50 save accounts in various games (especially the RPG-sandbox ones like the Elder Scrolls series) with character designs inputted. If I'm stuck writing for a character, I'll wander the world and play until a random event strikes me as something that's worth writing in. Also, I just use such games to let me flesh out my characters, deciding how he/she would react to a certain situation (which has led me some very amusing nearly unwinnable situations when I have characters with good intentions, but little respect for the law if they don't mind murder-stabbing people in front of their friends...and law enforcement)

Hmm, I honestly usually just let myself be taken in by writer's block, haha. However, video games are definitely an inspiration to some point. Anime can be, but it really depends on the anime and the such. I'm a little kid inside so I don't find as much inspiration from complex psychological concepts or detailed analyses (sp) of sociological behavior and stuff lol, I mostly think "how can I make this epic" and "how can I make people care" and it usually comes back to what gets me hyped and what gets me to care.
Signature thanks to Shu.
