Hey I just joined like not long ago. I got started into fire emblem when my sisters friend's brother gave me Fire emblem 8 Sacred Stones. I fell in love with the game ever since. I've played 6, 7, 8 so far. I like the gameboy ones and haven't played the DS ones(i should get to that) but yeah that's who I am. I love playing the hacked Versions of games my favorite for 7 is by far The Last Promise by Blazer!, then I loved the Game midnight shrine can't remember who made it but yeah great job who ever you are! I haven't tries any six yet mainly 7, and a few 8. Also my favorite character for Fire emblem is Jaffar. In number eight I love the character Seth. Then also if you know any good hacks I should try let me know please through a post or even Private message me! Please and thank you.

Welcome. I first played fire emblem 7 on the gba. It quickly became a favorite. I was also a fan of the assassin, rogue, and thief classes.
Another victim for my plans...er uh...welcome new friend!
Welcome to the family.
Yeah the assassins Silencer move is awesome. I like the rogues pick ability, they are quick and really deadly with the killing Edge. (Cheshire) Yes friends(zac) (first target acquired) but I'm sure we will be buds! And thanks for having me part of the family(Idiot)

Hi. I see you like Jaffar.
yes I do, I love how he turned from Like being a guy that's was super evil to a gentle guy if you look at it, because of Nino. I think it was awesome and Like cool. Like when I see him talking I think of a Gaara Voice(from Naruto) but yeah he is probably my favorite. It use to be Seth until I played 7 and got to know the Angel of Death. Is a sad ending though cause he leaves his family to protect them, cause he murdered a lot of people in his life. And I see you like pokemon nice. I like that Blue Leafeon it looks cool!

He is cool, he keeps very calm when he is surrounded by like thirty wyvern riders and knights and horses and everything else and is like bro I am going to get out of here and wreck y'all up.

He's cool until he promotes. I hate it when nonmounted units magically gain a mount during promotion.

Yeah true, and also that is very true, like honestly just make him more of a brute without a horse. Like Siegfried in the last promise at the end in the fight how he fought as a knight was cool. They should do that, but what about them Pegs turning into Wyverns? That's funny, I did it with Tana and had Cormag support her and they said peg when it was a wyvern I'm like really.

That's apparently how it was in the first Fire Emblem. Falconknights didn't exist, from what I hear.
But the reason you mention is why I don't do anything but Falconknights for Pegasus Knights. XD

Yeah i think Eli was the only one that got a horse. Hector and Lyn didn't get one thank goodness. I think in if I'm correct Roy didn't. get a horse at all. Or it was Ellwood that didn't and Roy that did.... I can't remember I'm not good with seven and six for fire emblem mainly 8 I like how you could get more characters after the game and one being Lyon. When 7 or six can't remember or even both was like congrats you beat the game restart everything and start over. Annoying a little bit but it is ok.
Sox had Idoun I believe and seven had Nergal(He is a bit creepy) but yeah

Roy got the sword of seals and an outfit upgrade. Which I then promptly hacked the game so that Sword of Seals had infinite uses (and reduced might, for balance) so that I could watch his awkward but awesome flame animations.
Eliwood got the horse. Then they actually took his horse animations and split them up to make Eirika and Ephraim. (I believe if you examine Eliwood's lance animations and Ephraim's promoted ones, you'll see a significant similarity.)

Yeah true, and its pretty cool, the yeah The horse is so true haha, although Ellwood sword is insanely massive its like wow really. The lance yeah and sword Eirika has aint huge and normal looking. Ephraim and Erika getting promotion be like well dad left these horses down here for us I guess or the 5 original heroes lets get on them and make the player confused of why we have horses. I guess Male pegs turn into wyvern and female pegs turn into Falcon pegs or whatever they are a super peg? See it makes perfect sense that Forde and them get horses. But really Give a recruit a random horse or a knight a horse? Really? Game science makes no sense.

I like to pretend that the mounts came from enemies. At least, I did until Awakening and Fates where they kind of confirm that you kill the mount along with its rider. Which is horrifically depressing to someone like me who likes animals. lol

Yeah that's true and a good idea. And yeah back when Knights, that rode horses would fight, it was mainly a lance fight and they would charge each other and ram the lance through, while in the same process killing the horse on purpose. Due to the fact I think cause the horse belonged to the enemy and it was tamed by it. The Horse a knight rode was his own personal horse. Also if the person didn't die from the thrust of getting impaled they would take them as prisoners. Sadly yeah its upsetting they kill the horses and other animals, well creatures more less In fire emblem. But much more sad they actually did it.

Unfortunately I don't think I can easily find any citations at the moment but I remember two things I learned from videos by enthusiasts of medieval history:
- Soldiers (knights included) bought their own military equipment (presumably that includes war horses)
- Cavalry is actually rather ineffective at any kind of prolonged fighting and are more hit-and-run than anything (English knights actually straight up dismounted to fight because hand-to-hand combat from horseback is cumbersome)
Considering the nature of cavalry in that sense, I imagine cavalry v.s. cavalry battles would actually be rather awkward and prone to mass-failure (not in terms of actually losing but just having to resort to Plan B.) and historically (well before guns totally took over anyway) most deaths on the battlefield were actually during retreat, because it's the easiest way to get a kill in with relatively little risk of being counterattacked. In that sense I think horses probably weren't particularly likely to be slain because their speed advantage makes them both a whole lot better for running away and for screwing over enemies that aren't quite so mobile. Actually having a knight fight a knight may be a fairly rare occurrence as well because knights would be a very small part of the fighting force mostly composed of significantly less well-equipped conscripts and mercenaries, meaning that they'd probably be too busy steamrolling those at a severe disadvantage in battle, especially as that's far less likely to risk significant financial losses(since the government won't pay for it) from losing a warhorse or something.
I believe in judgment of humans through their judgment of fiction, for nothing else tells better of their disposition freed from apprehension.
