Considering that the series is Square Enix's, and being automatically reminded of Final Fantasy after that, is fair enough.

The only reason it reminds you of Final Fantasy is because of The Restoration Committee.

Kingdom Hearts is part of the Final Fantasy canon. Sorry Pie, but Kingdom Hearts is practically Final Fantasy.

You're right, it's not, if you ignore all the Final Fantasy characters and how the Kingdom Hearts world fits into the Final Fantasy worlds.
Also ignore how the whole point of Kingdom Hearts was to be a crossover between Final Fantasy and Disney.

Yes.. but Super Smash Bros is supposed to be a crossover of Nintendo characters.. but that in no way means that ****ing Metroid and ****ing Pokemon are the same thing.

That's a different direction. That's a large group of different games coming together in a fighting genre, in the setting of a young person's imagination while playing with toys. It's not canon.
Kingdom Hearts is part of Final Fantasy canon. I am not claiming Cloud and Mickey are the same thing, thus your argument does not fit. I'm claiming they were both in a game that is part of a larger series of games.
A lot of Kingdom Hearts gameplay aspects come directly from the Final Fantasy series (characters, weapons, items, spells, etc). You can argue all you want, but it will not change the facts.
The easiest way to understand this is to relate to basics. Final Fantasy is an apple. Disney is a grape. You are saying Kingdom Hearts is an orange, when in reality it is a grapple. (GrappleFruit Website)
