I just hope we don't get attacked by aliens and are forced to move to another planet.

Seriously...

That's not I'm against about it, but we want to explore new universes when we don't even know 80 % of the things on our earth... I'll never undertsand this

Anyway, the photo is beautiful

80% is a fairly high estimate. There's also the whole adventerous aspect. Nothing is discovered by sitting at home and looking over the same materials.

Plus we have the manpower to do both at the same time.

kaiser : and yet it's true... nothing is known about a lot a things by example the abyss (or at least not much)

Well it isn't because we don't see things they don't exist. that's why cryptozoology exists

Wait, I disgress.

Ah I'm not sure...

Well the people who study outer space aren't the same people who study the planet earth, and in any case, since the known universe all operates under the same rules (to the best of our knowledge) so any discovery adds to the total knowledge and can be applied to most things.

And in around 100 million years (I made up a number but it's something big like that) the sun is going to grow so big that it will swallow the earth, so we will have to move to another planet at some point. Ya know, if we haven't killed each other by then

Aside from the fact that most space exploration in terms of things at the edge or outside of our local cluster take a long time to reach for something like a Pluto flyby, most launching would happen and get results back a couple of years later. That being said, I'll echo Snow here. We have different people studying different things. Keep in mind that the field of physics in space is quite important to understanding why and how the universe fits together.
