@  xcrash1998 : (21 September 2018 - 05:46 PM) I like games that actually reward you for reaching more difficult objectives.
A good example would be the golden ballon in Super Mario Oddisey it more like a trophy and less like an in game side note of what you did.
@  Fire Blazer : (17 September 2018 - 07:13 AM) but like yeah I get more trophies/achievements in games that I just happened to play more bcuz the game itself was fun or w/e and it's like oh ok i also will get these things just through doing the stuff i wanted to do anyway, that's cool i guess lol
@  Fire Blazer : (17 September 2018 - 07:08 AM) like they don't rly hurt but they aren't something of particular value, it's kinda like a fancy alert with a title that tells u u did a thing, it's not bad but im not rly one to go out of my way to obtain the validation of a video game through something that can usually just be done via spending enough time/effort on it

(getting to like the top X% of a competitive multiplayer game or smth would be a diff story, but in that case i wouldn't even want an achievement, i feel like just getting there should feel rewarding in itself, so... yeah, lol)
@  Fire Blazer : (17 September 2018 - 07:07 AM) yeah I'm not a trophy/achievement guy lol
@  acceptance : (13 September 2018 - 10:35 PM) That's just not incentive enough for me, man.
@  acceptance : (13 September 2018 - 10:34 PM) Plus with modern gaming a lot of the time the most you can hope for if you get all the collectibles is a trophy/achievement. Which I suppose is valuable to some people, but it's not gonna add anything to the game whatsoever.
@  Fire Blazer : (12 September 2018 - 05:58 PM) like yeah sidequests with an actual crafted scenario to them, post-game dungeons that aren't TOO much grinding/rehashed content, etc. are cool
@  Fire Blazer : (12 September 2018 - 05:57 PM) yeah I only like completionist stuff if it's like meaningful content/not super grindy but usually at some point it becomes kind of annoying so meh
@  acceptance : (11 September 2018 - 01:01 AM) Gotta love unforgivingly difficult super bosses. (Looking at you, Lingering Will.)
@  acceptance : (11 September 2018 - 01:00 AM) I cannot do the whole collectible thing. It always feel so tedious. Sidequests and EX dungeons are always fun though.
@  xcrash1998 : (09 September 2018 - 06:56 AM) So thats perfect for me
@  xcrash1998 : (09 September 2018 - 06:55 AM) I am rather obsessed with completing on 100% unless it is completely unreasonable to do so
@  Fire Blazer : (03 September 2018 - 04:51 AM) if they ever make a sequel/spiritual successor or the like at the very least it should have my attention, haha
@  Fire Blazer : (03 September 2018 - 04:50 AM) so yeah, great, great game overall, I even bought the expansion and played the heck out of that too because it was so much fun. Think I ended up almost 100%ing it (basically fully explored the map IIRC, not sure I did everything but at the very least I should have gotten pretty close).

and I'm not really a completionist either, so again... just speaks volumes about how fun the game was IMO.
@  Fire Blazer : (03 September 2018 - 04:48 AM) Awesome gameplay, sweet enemies, an overall interesting premise and plot along with some solid writing, even the soundtrack was decent for a Western game, lol... but of course, the VISUALS. whew. the game looks soooo good. couldn't help but take pictures even though I don't usually consider myself that kinda guy, lol. the environments and hyper-realistic look are just so visually appealing I was often kinda mesmerized, similar to how I felt with Xenoblade X.
@  Fire Blazer : (03 September 2018 - 04:46 AM) I'm surprised to have finally found some other people who have played and liked that game though. I was excited for Horizon: Zero Dawn and got it at launch and ended up basically binging it, IIRC even putting P5 on hold for a bit, because it was just so much fun.
@  Fire Blazer : (03 September 2018 - 04:46 AM) ouch @ potential april fools lol
@  Rujio : (02 September 2018 - 09:34 AM) Still an excellent game. One of the more interesting stories I've come across in a game, especially an open-world one, and some pretty solid characters and worldbuilding. The gameplay is fun and works really, really well in the setting, too.
@  Rujio : (02 September 2018 - 09:31 AM) Although that article is from April 1st and my google searches are not revealing any other evidence of a PC release...
@  Rujio : (02 September 2018 - 09:29 AM) Ah yes! I just played that game this past summer with my friends (who have a PS4) and it really was great! I'm really glad it's coming to PC so I can have it myself, and also because I've got some PS-less friends who would really enjoy it.

because he's saying exactly what a certain group of people want to hear.(this certain group of people being the incredibly conservative, racists, or(not and. i'm NOT calling all conservative people racist here) people who just don't understand that not everyone outside of America are terrorists. and yes, there are people who honestly believe that every other country is just out to destroy America. I met an old man who was scared to death because he found out a few Mexican families had moved into town(that's a pretty funny story by itself tbh).

The thing is though...he has no coherent strategy that I can see.  Policy is all over the board, can't win at the % popularity he's got (and is doing nothing to correct that), and honestly has a lot of people wondering if he's a Democrat agent in disguise.  It's almost like he decided to become the loudest, most obnoxious politician ever in some crazy Poe's Law experiment, got attention, and is now just too far in to back out.

I don't doubt that some actually agree with what he's saying.  I'm sure a small % also like Trump and ideologically match his words if 3% of Americans can believe in Lizard people who control the government.  I get the sense though that a lot of his support also stems from the "Screw both parties" individuals who hate the two-party system for whatever reason...be it hating political correctness that much, being more aligning with the Tea Party...whatever it may be.

Okay.  I just burst out laughing.  That's actually pretty funny.  Actively went out of my way to watch every late night shot just to see how they chose to ridicule the same comments.

It still shocks me that Americans still hold the protest vote so strong that people are willing to vote for this guy just to get the traditional politicians out of power.  Not that the has a chance of winning the election, but still enough to make the other Republicans shake a bit.

Spoiler

ahahaha a worthy bump of this thread if you ask me

I don't keep up with politics that much but man Trump is just awful, it takes about 5 seconds and a bit of humanity to realize that

meh he's an asshole and would make an awful president. people know this and are willing to vote for him anyway just because he's saying exactly what a certain group of people want to hear.(this certain group of people being the incredibly conservative, racists, or(not and. i'm NOT calling all conservative people racist here) people who just don't understand that not everyone outside of America are terrorists. and yes, there are people who honestly believe that every other country is just out to destroy America. yeah he is and it honestly scares me a little that even a fraction of people would support him, but it's how it is. some of the fear is really just hatred and pride and the like, and some of it is ignorance and a lack of knowledge... the latter can kinda be fixed, but the first one is near impossible to fix, IMO. some people are just unreasonable and will play right into ISIS' or whoever's hands by spreading fear and saying stupid things and the like <_<

*sigh*

I don't even like talking about this stuff, it's just like, so stressful >>'

You just said Joshua looks like any generic anime male MC. Assassins are supposed to blend in. Perfect disguise tbh.

woaaahh dang where is that from

I mean, first... do I spy a Trails fan that isn't me? :o

Second, Joshua looks more generic in the new art because that's kind of the style, lol. I still think he's not as generic as he could be, though: there's way worse, lol.

Third, lol@thejoke. I mean, whoever said that is kinda right, lolol

Nah it's just what Chain Chronicle is having for it's next collab. I doubt the person who made the comment has actually played the other game.

Also he looks generic in the other games (assuming that the wikia has every depiction) too, though the outfit and hair color (not brown!!! O: O: O:) helps a lot with going against that look. That said I wish we got the Ys VS. Sora version personally since he'll be the only free character from it.

ahh I see

opinions, though that goes without saying since what the heck is "generic" anyway? lol. to me it's usually a spiky haired idealistic protagonist in their teens, but in a way I don't look at most protags like that when I see them even if they fit that criteria, it's more of a "common theme" than anything. *shrugs*

Generic's most common factors are kind of dependent on the era. Right now, it tends to mean that

1: They have brown hair. (because these days there's probably more East Asians that dye their hair brown than there are ones with black hair)

2: They have yellow or green eyes. (no clue why this happens)

3: Their hair is either slightly wavy or straight, but it always covers their forehead and makes the top of their head look round, and does not have a length that goes beyond the top of their shoulders.

4: They aren't drawn that differently from the girls. (no clue why people don't complain much about generic female design)

5: The outfit they are wearing is either casual clothing or a school uniform. (honestly I'm not sure how much this applies for other people)

6: Their personality doesn't really include many factors of inner struggle, or at least the specific type of inner struggle people want to see.

7: There are more females than males in the cast. (yes this counts apparently)

I can kind of remember back when the expectation was more toward spiky haired characters (in shows aimed at kids/teens anyway) with things like Marchen Awakens Romance and Katekyo Hitman Reborn! (and Dragonball Z just because a lot of people were still watching it I guess) but I think the above type of character might have been pretty common back then too...during then people were a lot more likely to insult people for liking these shonen characters by claiming the design is for immature kids that would be into the likes of Cloud from FF7 or something though. (which to them really only means "spiky hair" and "big sword" I think seeing as the rest of his design doesn't really stand out...maybe the black in his AC outfit? or his KH outfit with the red cape and bandages?)
