@  xcrash1998 : (21 September 2018 - 05:46 PM) I like games that actually reward you for reaching more difficult objectives.
A good example would be the golden ballon in Super Mario Oddisey it more like a trophy and less like an in game side note of what you did.
@  Fire Blazer : (17 September 2018 - 07:13 AM) but like yeah I get more trophies/achievements in games that I just happened to play more bcuz the game itself was fun or w/e and it's like oh ok i also will get these things just through doing the stuff i wanted to do anyway, that's cool i guess lol
@  Fire Blazer : (17 September 2018 - 07:08 AM) like they don't rly hurt but they aren't something of particular value, it's kinda like a fancy alert with a title that tells u u did a thing, it's not bad but im not rly one to go out of my way to obtain the validation of a video game through something that can usually just be done via spending enough time/effort on it

(getting to like the top X% of a competitive multiplayer game or smth would be a diff story, but in that case i wouldn't even want an achievement, i feel like just getting there should feel rewarding in itself, so... yeah, lol)
@  Fire Blazer : (17 September 2018 - 07:07 AM) yeah I'm not a trophy/achievement guy lol
@  acceptance : (13 September 2018 - 10:35 PM) That's just not incentive enough for me, man.
@  acceptance : (13 September 2018 - 10:34 PM) Plus with modern gaming a lot of the time the most you can hope for if you get all the collectibles is a trophy/achievement. Which I suppose is valuable to some people, but it's not gonna add anything to the game whatsoever.
@  Fire Blazer : (12 September 2018 - 05:58 PM) like yeah sidequests with an actual crafted scenario to them, post-game dungeons that aren't TOO much grinding/rehashed content, etc. are cool
@  Fire Blazer : (12 September 2018 - 05:57 PM) yeah I only like completionist stuff if it's like meaningful content/not super grindy but usually at some point it becomes kind of annoying so meh
@  acceptance : (11 September 2018 - 01:01 AM) Gotta love unforgivingly difficult super bosses. (Looking at you, Lingering Will.)
@  acceptance : (11 September 2018 - 01:00 AM) I cannot do the whole collectible thing. It always feel so tedious. Sidequests and EX dungeons are always fun though.
@  xcrash1998 : (09 September 2018 - 06:56 AM) So thats perfect for me
@  xcrash1998 : (09 September 2018 - 06:55 AM) I am rather obsessed with completing on 100% unless it is completely unreasonable to do so
@  Fire Blazer : (03 September 2018 - 04:51 AM) if they ever make a sequel/spiritual successor or the like at the very least it should have my attention, haha
@  Fire Blazer : (03 September 2018 - 04:50 AM) so yeah, great, great game overall, I even bought the expansion and played the heck out of that too because it was so much fun. Think I ended up almost 100%ing it (basically fully explored the map IIRC, not sure I did everything but at the very least I should have gotten pretty close).

and I'm not really a completionist either, so again... just speaks volumes about how fun the game was IMO.
@  Fire Blazer : (03 September 2018 - 04:48 AM) Awesome gameplay, sweet enemies, an overall interesting premise and plot along with some solid writing, even the soundtrack was decent for a Western game, lol... but of course, the VISUALS. whew. the game looks soooo good. couldn't help but take pictures even though I don't usually consider myself that kinda guy, lol. the environments and hyper-realistic look are just so visually appealing I was often kinda mesmerized, similar to how I felt with Xenoblade X.
@  Fire Blazer : (03 September 2018 - 04:46 AM) I'm surprised to have finally found some other people who have played and liked that game though. I was excited for Horizon: Zero Dawn and got it at launch and ended up basically binging it, IIRC even putting P5 on hold for a bit, because it was just so much fun.
@  Fire Blazer : (03 September 2018 - 04:46 AM) ouch @ potential april fools lol
@  Rujio : (02 September 2018 - 09:34 AM) Still an excellent game. One of the more interesting stories I've come across in a game, especially an open-world one, and some pretty solid characters and worldbuilding. The gameplay is fun and works really, really well in the setting, too.
@  Rujio : (02 September 2018 - 09:31 AM) Although that article is from April 1st and my google searches are not revealing any other evidence of a PC release...
@  Rujio : (02 September 2018 - 09:29 AM) Ah yes! I just played that game this past summer with my friends (who have a PS4) and it really was great! I'm really glad it's coming to PC so I can have it myself, and also because I've got some PS-less friends who would really enjoy it.

I once owned FE7 and FE8 but I let friends borrow them and uh, never got them back. Oh well, that doesn't really matter because I can play them in other ways. And I do have FE8 on my Wii U, although I haven't played it much...

I also own Path of Radiance, Shadow Dragon, Awakening and Fates. (Birthright and Conquest thus far. WHENEVER REVELATION RELEASES, I'LL GET IT TOO)

I forgot to mention this yesterday but I bought a legit cart of FE1 (the very first Fire Emblem) at MAGFest 2016 for $15.

My Akaneia collection (barring Gaiden) is complete!  B)

ooh, awesome! I don't have it myself but I'd totally get it if I could find it that cheap, haha.

On a personal note though, after buying a replacement copy of FE7 (due to mine being stolen ages ago), I eventually used up some money I got from a big fat paycheck to buy various FE goodies... games-wise, I got a new copy of FE3, a used but otherwise good-condition copy of FE6, a new copy of FE8, and a used import copy of FE12.

This now means I have physical copies of FE3, FE6, FE7, FE8, FE9, FE10, FE11, FE12, and FE14 (the Special Edition), along with digital copies of... I think FE7/FE8, FE13, and FE14 (but in Japanese). I also have a 2nd cartridge (my original one) for FE8, and I plan to eventually get a physical copy of FE13. Physical copies of FE2/5 might be nice but the older games I don't feel as compelled to have/interested in having since well... they're older and in Japanese and I don't even have the systems to play them, lol.

Ugh I hate that lol, it only took one case of someone not returning a game I let them borrow for me to stop letting people borrow games, because I don't trust them to give them back in the same condition I got it, if at all, lol. (I also have FE8 on my Wii U but I really just bought it to support the game lol)

No Radiant Dawn? :o

No Radiant Dawn?

To be fair, one of them DID give it back, now that I think about it...but the cartridge has since been lost and I don't really know what happened to it. lol

Yeah, that's the same reason I bought it, really. It's one of my favorite FE games (tying with Awakening, surprisingly) so...yeah.  I did play it for a bit afterward because at the time I was sick, but since then I've had so many other games on my plate I haven't had the chance to try it again.

I never got Radiant Dawn for several reasons; 1: Path of Radiance really didn't impress me, for some reason. 2: Supports were generic-ized, and that is one of my favorite parts of the games, and 3: I heard it was hard.

path or radiance wasn't SUPER hard, but it had its challenging chapters. iirc i lost like 5 people against the final boss which was actually really heartbreaking. i had gone through most of the game without losing more than like three characters, and then that bitch had to go and blow my team the fuck up.

i currently only have physical copies of awakening, sacred stones, and shadow dragon. as for digital i only have Fates. kinda sad that i only have a handful of these games despite how much i enjoy them XD. been looking for radiant dawn since my brother "accidently" gave my copy to gamestop for like 5$, but it's so expensive.

off topic but sort of related to what i was saying, i found a copy of xenoblade chronicles(the wii version not 3ds) used at gamestop for like $50. i was really tempted to get it since it's usually more than that, but i didn't have any cash on me, and my paycheck had yet to go through. would have been left with like $15 in the bank, so i didn't get it.

I think he was saying Radiant Dawn was hard, haha. I beat FE9 on Hard mode to start back like, when it came out, so... given that I was young and not that smart (not that I'm smart now...) I don't think it could have been very hard lol

yay for supporting old games~! FE8 is also one of my faves, though FE7-FE9 are basically a 3-way-tie at this point, I'm terrible at picking favorites lol

stinks about PoR but to each their own haha, RD's supports were kinda lame but base conversations at least help a bit, idk, I do miss the cool supports but it was still worth playing to me, but I'm also way too invested into FE as a series haha, I think you're justified in not playing it... and yeah it was kinda hard IMO XD

tbh FE10's story and some other things were meh so it's really not a huge loss lol

QQ I think you can get Xenoblade Chronicles for Wii on Amazon a lot cheaper than it used to be now, in fact... look here:

http://www.amazon.co...c/dp/B007RNWUC4

assuming this is new and you live in the U.S... that's a dang good deal. In fact I already have the game and I kinda want to get it for no real reason other than I liked the game LOL

Sometimes I look back and wish I HAD gotten it, but it's kind of too late now. If they put it up on the wii u shop I might get it... As, well, I kind of feel guilty for Fire Emblem's fall since I never bought Radiant Dawn.

I bought Shadow Dragon, though.

Sadly SD doesn't work anymore. It freezes if you move the DS while playing <<;

that's a great price considering I just saw it at Gamestop for $68 used. If I didn't have the 3ds version I might've been tempted, but I REALLY don't want to spend that much on a Wii game right now.

but I can officially say that radiant dawn is back in my collection. Found it at a yard sale for $5.

Collective shot of my Fire Emblem stuff attached

FE8 is in a custom case which I will also be making for FE7. Maybe looking at some figures next, dunno.

edit: why the hell is it upside down when I click on it sorry

Adding to this super sexy collection shortly I have pre-ordered the FE Fates Special Edition & N3DSXL. Naturally, living in Australia is lame and we get everything later than usual but at least it's easier on my wallet. Will be looking at getting the Roy amiibo probably tomorrow, and then the one of Corrin in due course.

ooh, the N3DS too? that's cool. i didn't get that one (have enough 3DS's) but the design is nice.

as for Roy, I have plenty of Roy amiibo, but... Corrin? hm... I don't think I'll get his. I don't like his design, in or out of Smash, so... meh. even if he's an FE character... >_>;

I own 7, 9, 13.

I sold 6, 8, and 10 at least 4-5 times for profit.

I'm a monster - I sold 9 for about £60-70 :P
