New Nintendo president appointed!

And it's not who anyone expected!
Thoughts? Concerns? Personally I'm indifferent to the choice. It makes sense given his background. That's about all I can say. I'm not worried that he'll mess things up, in fact I think it'll be good for the company as a whole (although I doubt he'll try to push square to localize DQ games very much). Business sense aside though I would have preferred someone with more developer experience.

It does make sense and I'm fine with it. I saw some tweets on twitter about an interview he did (which I'm not gonna go find) and from what I saw I like him. He apparently predicted that the Wii U was gonna fail since it was too much like the Wii, which was interesting to find out.
Also nintendo directs will be continuing which is great.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see what's in store, eh?

I'm pretty cool with it. Hopefully he keeps an open-mind and isn't too... old-fashioned. I'm curious to see how long this will last and how things will go from here, it's definitely going to be pretty weird... even if Iwata wasn't perfect, I somehow felt like Nintendo was relatively safe in his hands, haha. I mean, the dude cut his own pay and worked his butt off for Nintendo. I guess this guy just needs to prove he can suddenly take over from here on out--he's certainly not a bad pick, but I can't help but feel a little uneasy just because, lol
Signature thanks to Shu.
