Currently I'm dual-concentrating in business management and marketing along with a minor in English/writing.

My dream is to do something business related that also makes use of my writing talents.

I want to be a volcanologist. But that would require leaving my state eventually since there are no volcanoes here at all.

But yeah my interests are all centered around plate tectonics.

Fiction > nonfiction.

But for business purposes, professional writing is the way to go.

Also, protip for those wishing to go to college (every major pretty much):

LEARN TO WRITE! If you think you're already pretty good, get better! One of the top things hiring companies hate about college grads is that a lot of them don't know how to write. Being a solid writer puts you a step ahead of the competition.

i hated writing fiction myself. i love to read it, but writing it not so much.

and its learn to write more goodly. pft. who learned you how to write?

sarcasm aside, i do intend to get better at writing. better grades and personal pride are my motivations

Video Game Programmer for me.
I'm pretty much an all-around gamer. (Aren't we all?)
I'm right now using flash. Still a noob, but I'm progressing.
I already have an idea anyways for a video game, and I'll do everything I can to make that game idea a reality.

I've never really had a dream job or the like.

Well, I guess playing for a top premier league team would be awesome.

Otherwise, Doctor Who.

Through life (and especially college) you learn to separate your talents into two categories: Careers and hobbies.

For me, writing as a career doesn't appeal to me. Being an author is an unreliable source of income, and being a teacher isn't up my alley. I've also tried my hand at journalism, and while a great experience that's improved my writing exponentially, it's not for me. And thus, I throw it in the hobby category.

Besides...you don't need an English degree to be published. tongue.gif

On a side note, I sound so damn old >.<

My dream job is to play basketball half the time and make money programming at home the other half.

Totally unrealistic, but that's the point of the word 'dream', right?

Weird, I thought I already posted here.

I'll be a video game programmer, preferably at Valve. I'll also do some graphic design and stuff.

In other words, exactly what I do now, except at a higher level of difficulty/reward, and at Valve.
