Why would someone even need to BE shipped to Kuwait? It's about the size of New Jersey, and IIRC, they're aliies with the US.

Well we get hammered into our heads that we have to be ready to deploy immediately, as in if war broke out, we grab our bags and jump on a plane an hour later, so I can't really say I wasn't ready for this. I've been busy non-stop and got months worth of prep done yesterday and into today and tomorrow. by Tomorrow I'll be ready to go.

Don't be a jerk. Would you like to suddenly be ordered to leave your family, friends, etc. behind and go to a place you've probably never been? Point is, it wasn't fair for him to have to go instead of his supervisor, and even if Kuwait is allied with us, it's not necessarily anyplace you'd want to go out of the blue.

I said 5 day notice not 5 day trip. I'm going for 6 months. Try reading before you rant.
Also you partially right about it not being war. Its not an all out war, but that doesnt mean that terriorists wont randomly fire motars or RPGs at the base, which does still happen.
