Help in what way? If you're just looking for info our good admin blazer has written a very in depth tutorial (mostly geared towards fe7, but a lot can be applied to the other gba titles) that will get you headed in the right direction. I'm on mobile right now or I'd link it. If you search for "blazer ultimate hacking tutorial" you should find it pretty easily though.
Always nice to see a new face. I hope you stick around for awhile. None of us are going to bite(not too hard anyway).
Like blazer said hacking is hard. I started, and gave up when I realized just how much effort it was going to take with very little return. That said don't let the difficulty discourage you! For as hard as it is making a romhack can be very fun. I enjoyed it while I was doing it. Especially the art side of things. Making new portraits, and thinking about what kind of characters they are is so much fun. Anyway my suggestion would be to do a little research on what you need to know in order to do something like that. If it seems like too much, then take a step back and learn by doing. Take baby steps and learn one thing at a time.
lol, the crazy eye was fine. gave an interesting character to the portrait.
it's definitely an improvement. the shape is a lot more natural, but still falls a bit strangely on the left side. there's also a bit of funny shading where her hair covers the left(our left that is) eye. Don't think i'm just criticizing though! that is a significant improvement, and you should definitely keep working. the key to making good portraits is experience. just keep at it, and you'll find that things just start falling into place. it's a really cool feeling.
The problem with it is that you didn't do anything to transition between brown and green. The shading isn't natural at all in her hair. I'm not gonna go through every portrait individually, but in general your shading needs work, and i would suggest that you try to reference other people's work so you can try to see what looks natural and what doesn't. A lot of your portraits have things that just wouldn't happen. Especially with the hair, but a few faces suffer from unnatural shapes/shading as well.
if anyone doesn't feel like reading it nintendo is releasing a small NES clone which is preloaded with 30 games(and a pretty strong lineup at that). there are a few drawbacks, you can't open the cartridge slot, so no playing real cartridges, it won't be able to connect to the internet and download new games e-shop style, and it doesn't come with a power source. it comes with a usb power cable, but you have to supply the source.
yeah it's getting huge right now, but is it going to stick? i really don't think so myself. it seems more like the flavor of the year, might die out around...idk mid 2018? yeah i'm predicting way ahead, and there's no way to know what will happen with technology in the next two years. the thing is VR has never taken off before in all of its iterations. i mean this is the most exposure VR technology has ever gotten to my knowledge, and people are still skeptical of it. is it cool? sure it is. who doesn't want to have aliens explode right in front of them, or feel like they're actually driving the cars into a wall because they accidently hit the e-brake button? i just don't see it replacing traditional tv screens for example(in terms of gaming right now). not to mention the price on most VR hardware is insane atm. i would have to set aside several paychecks after my bills to be able to afford the HTC Vive for example. probably 5-6 depending on how large the bills are/how much i worked/whatever.
eeeehhhhh, cats can kill people though. basically only because of infection or serious allergies(detail, i know. just had to. it's my nature), but still possible.
i know i said i was gonna stay out of this, but here we go anyway:
dogs cost more to maintain(ok not if you're crazy with the cat shows and shit, but basically cats are cheaper), won't scare off tarantulas, will totally eat your face if you piss them off enough, piss themselves if you scare them even on accident(ok cats will do this too, but it's so much more difficult to really scare a cat that it's not even a feasible possibility), and basically only exist to please whomever they consider as the alpha(this is actually kinda neat for some people, but it's probably my least favorite trait of dogs). cats on the other hand WILL scare off motherfucking tarantulas(fuck those things), on occasion will act so out of character that i'm convinced it's done solely to get a laugh, and can effectively rid a house of mice and sometimes even rats under very good circumstances.
ok i know i only listed the negatives of dogs, but come on. cats are just so great. they'll even grant us human peasants the high honor of being able to pet them.(am i taking this too far?)
btw if we're gonna talk about pets i definitely want a capybara. it's a guinea pig the size of a dog. none can compare to their absolute majesty.
So I just noticed it was available on the eshop, and my first words were "yup". Didn't even think about it, just hit purchase. I've only played through the prologue so far, but it's super fun imo. I'm not totally certain I like the weakness system as much as regular smt/persona's version, but the battles are still really good. They kept the Japanese voice acting for the Western release, so that's a thing. Not sure whether to say it's positive or not, but it's definitely a thing. Solid soundtrack, graphically speaking the game is good. Characters are really nice looking. Chrom especially looks really cool.
Also they translated sheeda as caeda, but the actor still said sheeda...
i picked it up and there several things i won't be using(technically i bought it with the sole interest of getting the monster hunter generations demo XD)
mountain: i don't know that anyone will want this, but check it out on steam i guess
wildstar add on pack: includes a couple things. i don't play MMOs though really.
SUPERFIGHT closed beta access: meh. sounds interesting, but i don't have any interest in the absolute trollability of this.
Twitch turbo month: don't use twitch, so please feel free to ask for this one gone
armored warfare add on pack: i didn't even look at what this adds, but i'm not all that interested in playing it.
pathfinder 40 chests: see above nope
blade and soul e3 pack: MMO clause
EVEOnline 30 day trial access: meh
warthunder stuff: yeah i don't really care enough to look up what this one is
Grey goo definitive edition: i'm actually considering keeping that one for myself, so stand by on that. might remove it from the list later
guns up starter pack: not interested in the least.
i may add a few later, but i'm going to run them by my friends/family first(sorry but they get first crack at it anyway =P)
really?!?! that's super cool man. i gotta ask though did he bring out the ike? i've never had the opportunity to get a first hand account of how really solid ike play feels. the only high level player i've played against is actually a melee player, so i don't really have anything to go on when it comes to sm4sh competitive play tbh. i know i wouldn't make it very far in a tournament because i don't have the experience against other good players, but i'm confident in my ike play enough that i can say i would definitely learn by playing with someone who plays him better than me XD.
i'd love to go to tournaments, but i'm in a place where gaming is sort of a novetly. there are no tournaments of any kind within an hour, so it's a bit of a nuisance to bother trying. also i don't have a license and my parents probably aren't going to haul me out somewhere to play a game.
i don't follow the scene too heavily, but my favorite player is definitely ryo. he plays ike with the same basic style that i do, so i can learn a lot from watching his matches. and he always seems to be having fun when he's playing which is really cool. sometimes people can get way too serious about smash and stop having fun in tournaments(see leffen whenever he rages)
I'll be buying one pretty soon. like probably tomorrow if all goes well. i'm already looking at splatoon, xenoblade, pokken tournament, and mario kart, and those will keep me busy for a long time i'm sure. but i don't even really know what the wii U has to offer since i've never bothered to look at it. recently though a lot of good games are coming out, so i figured i'd ask you guys what games i should look into.
