Since nothing was discernibly wrong with it, I went ahead and made a Chrome theme out of my desktop. It was made for screens that have a width of 1280 px, but it looks ok even if your screen doesn't, imo. There's a screenshot included in the zip.

I only ever posted one here, Blazer. Then, when nobody commented, I did something else with it so people would comment more... where's my egostroke darnit?

But yeah, if I find any more that didn't die with my old laptop, I'll post 'em. I had a few cool ones.

Me as a Sniper and one of my close friends as a Heavy, both from TF2. I plan to make future fixes to my rifle and hands and his arms, shirt, vest, and gun, and maybe even color it.


Me, very very very dead. Yeah idk. I'm kinda more satisfied with it than the other tho.

Comments? Suggestions of what to change next time, or what to draw next?

My would-be entry for the first competition:



Custom neck and all. Yeah. Basically, our router is down and my mom had the internet for the majority of the night, so I couldn't post it in time. I intend to make sure I enter this time though.

Only two portraits, huh? Well, it's still not bad (if you did use a 3rd portrait it's just not obvious). It's too bad you couldn't make it though.

I only used two because I couldn't find a way to shove in the third within the amount of time that I had, and I wanted something presentable before time was up. Any comments on the neck, or the palette in general? I want to get something out of this sprite.

Why am I doing this

Basically the hat is from a MS Paint Adventures character, Nepeta Leijon. She's kinda the "lampshade" of some of the more absurd stuff in the comic, as when weird stuff goes down she just watches with no clue what the hell's going on.

That is quite... interesting

On the splice a couple posts above, the hair color contrasts too much with the skin and the eyes seem poorly made and unrefined, like a poor splicing job there.

The body is just a bit bland in splice parts as it seems to be just Karel's thingy, though I don't see anything WRONG with it per say.

However despite what I say it is a solid splice in general, do not get me wrong. You should keep working at it (splicing in general) IMO.

...Huh. Looking back, I find it hard to mistake for something not terrible. I am kind of gradually working at it.

Any comments on the hat? That was my biggest custom yet, and I'm not sure I did too well.

1. As in where? The fact that I have just a large, open expanse of floor?
2. Yeah, I didn't bother with those. Dunno why. I'll check out more actual maps and then add shadows. I have ideas on how to (seems kinda basic, eh?) but I just want to be safe.
3. The sideways doors were/are placeholders for actual vertical doors, as I couldn't figure out what tile was what. The double doors were as such because I couldn't find the double doors on the fail improv tileset I was using. (I found a good one now though)
4. Yeah, that bugged me too. That tileset again >_> (It didn't have walls that matched IIRC)
5. Can't figure out what you mean by that, but I'll try to place walls better, I guess.

Also, before reading that, I remade it with an actual single tileset instead of random nonmatching tiles. This might've fixed part of #3 and #4.
