@  xcrash1998 : (21 September 2018 - 05:46 PM) I like games that actually reward you for reaching more difficult objectives.
A good example would be the golden ballon in Super Mario Oddisey it more like a trophy and less like an in game side note of what you did.
@  Fire Blazer : (17 September 2018 - 07:13 AM) but like yeah I get more trophies/achievements in games that I just happened to play more bcuz the game itself was fun or w/e and it's like oh ok i also will get these things just through doing the stuff i wanted to do anyway, that's cool i guess lol
@  Fire Blazer : (17 September 2018 - 07:08 AM) like they don't rly hurt but they aren't something of particular value, it's kinda like a fancy alert with a title that tells u u did a thing, it's not bad but im not rly one to go out of my way to obtain the validation of a video game through something that can usually just be done via spending enough time/effort on it

(getting to like the top X% of a competitive multiplayer game or smth would be a diff story, but in that case i wouldn't even want an achievement, i feel like just getting there should feel rewarding in itself, so... yeah, lol)
@  Fire Blazer : (17 September 2018 - 07:07 AM) yeah I'm not a trophy/achievement guy lol
@  acceptance : (13 September 2018 - 10:35 PM) That's just not incentive enough for me, man.
@  acceptance : (13 September 2018 - 10:34 PM) Plus with modern gaming a lot of the time the most you can hope for if you get all the collectibles is a trophy/achievement. Which I suppose is valuable to some people, but it's not gonna add anything to the game whatsoever.
@  Fire Blazer : (12 September 2018 - 05:58 PM) like yeah sidequests with an actual crafted scenario to them, post-game dungeons that aren't TOO much grinding/rehashed content, etc. are cool
@  Fire Blazer : (12 September 2018 - 05:57 PM) yeah I only like completionist stuff if it's like meaningful content/not super grindy but usually at some point it becomes kind of annoying so meh
@  acceptance : (11 September 2018 - 01:01 AM) Gotta love unforgivingly difficult super bosses. (Looking at you, Lingering Will.)
@  acceptance : (11 September 2018 - 01:00 AM) I cannot do the whole collectible thing. It always feel so tedious. Sidequests and EX dungeons are always fun though.
@  xcrash1998 : (09 September 2018 - 06:56 AM) So thats perfect for me
@  xcrash1998 : (09 September 2018 - 06:55 AM) I am rather obsessed with completing on 100% unless it is completely unreasonable to do so
@  Fire Blazer : (03 September 2018 - 04:51 AM) if they ever make a sequel/spiritual successor or the like at the very least it should have my attention, haha
@  Fire Blazer : (03 September 2018 - 04:50 AM) so yeah, great, great game overall, I even bought the expansion and played the heck out of that too because it was so much fun. Think I ended up almost 100%ing it (basically fully explored the map IIRC, not sure I did everything but at the very least I should have gotten pretty close).

and I'm not really a completionist either, so again... just speaks volumes about how fun the game was IMO.
@  Fire Blazer : (03 September 2018 - 04:48 AM) Awesome gameplay, sweet enemies, an overall interesting premise and plot along with some solid writing, even the soundtrack was decent for a Western game, lol... but of course, the VISUALS. whew. the game looks soooo good. couldn't help but take pictures even though I don't usually consider myself that kinda guy, lol. the environments and hyper-realistic look are just so visually appealing I was often kinda mesmerized, similar to how I felt with Xenoblade X.
@  Fire Blazer : (03 September 2018 - 04:46 AM) I'm surprised to have finally found some other people who have played and liked that game though. I was excited for Horizon: Zero Dawn and got it at launch and ended up basically binging it, IIRC even putting P5 on hold for a bit, because it was just so much fun.
@  Fire Blazer : (03 September 2018 - 04:46 AM) ouch @ potential april fools lol
@  Rujio : (02 September 2018 - 09:34 AM) Still an excellent game. One of the more interesting stories I've come across in a game, especially an open-world one, and some pretty solid characters and worldbuilding. The gameplay is fun and works really, really well in the setting, too.
@  Rujio : (02 September 2018 - 09:31 AM) Although that article is from April 1st and my google searches are not revealing any other evidence of a PC release...
@  Rujio : (02 September 2018 - 09:29 AM) Ah yes! I just played that game this past summer with my friends (who have a PS4) and it really was great! I'm really glad it's coming to PC so I can have it myself, and also because I've got some PS-less friends who would really enjoy it.

Just a random topic, I was intrigued as to what games people actually owned or whether there were people who had just emulated all of them.

As for me I own:

FE:6 on GBA
FE:7 on GBA and WiiU VC
FE:8 on GBA (x2) and WiiU VC
FE 9
FE10
FE11
Awakening.

7/13 ain't too bad, if I had the money I would totally pick up FE 1-5 or 12 as they float around Ebay quite a bit but for the moment I'll have to do without.

FE7 owned and stolen, now owned on Virtual Console I think? maybe? probably? owned physically too as I got another copy later/not too long ago
FE8 owned... somewhere
FE9
FE10
FE11 (unopened AFAIK)
FE13 (two digital copies)

so I own all of the games released in the west, the rest I pretty much emulated (though FE12 I played on my flashcart which isn't quite emulation), so yeah. sadly those Japanese games are too expensive and I wouldn't really have anything to do with them anyway, so I haven't bothered getting them and unless I become rich, probably won't ever get them.

7 on GBA
8 on GBA
9 on GC
10 on Wii
11 on DS (though I lost my cartridge so I'm settling with my flashcart for it)
13 on 3DS

Though with emulators now I can barely play the old games on their consoles. I've become waaaaay too used to fast forward to go back.

I also don't plan on owning any of the japanese FEs mainly because I like playing these games in English.

nice nice

looks like we all have a rather solid collection (I think we all [pretty much--Kirant's 8 seems to be dead and 11 traded in] have all the western ones so far?) and some other stuff

I only have 8 and awakening right now unfortunately. Had 9 and 10,but my brother traded them in after I explicitly told him not to...for only $20 total. I can't find them for less than 70 each now.

Edit :I lied I have shadow dragon as well. Forgot it existed for a second.

I had physical carts for Blazing Sword and Sacred Stones, but I gave them away to my cousin years ago. I have Binding Blade on a repro cart but it doesn't work properly half the time.

I currently own (legitimately) the following :

Path of Radiance (problem with the disc though; the game freezes when loading models for battle animations and class changes)
Radiant Dawn
Shadow Dragon
New Mystery of the Emblem (imported)
Awakening

I also have Shadow Dragon and New Mystery on an R4 cart (New Mystery is region-locked, and I want to play both games on my 3DS without the hassle of switching carts).

that is awful, glad my games are my own now and people can't do BLEH things with them to make me upset *angryface*

yup, so rare now... I heard RD even got a small re-run... I'd personally like an HD remake compilation for Wii U with a few improvements so people can play them (and with a slightly better experience)

I don't blame you LOL

flashcarts don't count I mean you could just easily download the ROM for any of them at that point haha, at least to me it's not really "owning" them

same with emulation, Elwood

I know, it's just a matter of convenience (since I'm on my 3DS more than my old DS Lite)

I own a legitimate copy yet can't play it on my 3DS due to region lock

otherwise I wouldn't even need an r4 :P

FE7 and FE8 on GBA, FE9 on gamecube, FE10 on Wii, FE11 on DS, Awakening on 3DS.

Most of these are lost somewhere. lol

They're mostly all "misplaced" in the old mess of a house we don't live in anymore but still own. lol

The only one I could readily play the real copy of is Awakening since I got it far after I moved. lol

FE8

FE10

FE11 (formerly)

FE13

Of these, I've beaten 8 once and 13 twice, spending countless hours on postgame content, got to the last chapter of 10 part 1 before quitting due to something wrong with my disc where the game crashes when trying to load certain battle models (any Myrmidon, for example), and got somewhere into 11 before losing it.

umm

NES: FE1 and 2 are currently coming in the mail - recent purchase

SNES: Own FE3 and 4, play dem with an adapter in my SNES. Waiting to buy FE5 because I want a legit copy of it (not the downloaded ones ya know) but it's a couple hundred dollars

GBA: Own 7 and 8, will be buying 6 soon enough

DS: Own FE11 and 13... I think those are the numbers wow I don't even know anymore. FE12 is the remake of book 2 yeah? That's the one I don't have

Also own FE9 and 10 and the limited edition FE3DSXL - got such a bargain on eBay, someone sold one for $150 AUD. Didn't have the game pre-installed or anything but that doesn't bother me since I own it anyway.

AND I will also be buying the figures eventually... Tharja ooohhhhhh you minx

Haha same as most people. Own GBA carts of 7 and 8 (I had 7 taken at once point, it was a sad day :(, but I bought a new one). Lending them out right now to a prospective freshman recruit for my FE obsession XD.

Have Gamecube POR and Shadow Dragon/Awakening (all physical copies). I never bought Radiant Dawn since I don't have a Wii, but apparently my boyfriend has it (but he can't find right now X_X).

Have emulated and beaten 6 and got an emulation of 4 working, which I need to play at some point.
