I'm struggling to see if it's worth attempting a full FE build in it though as there are certain flaws which I'm not sure I can easily fix for my own purposes (a big one is stat cap seems universal as oppose to enforced for each unit)...but it's a fun and intuitive system. I could get a working map with all the trimmings (opening, closing, event triggers) going in a couple hours.

Heya! Just graduated and have been back in modding mode for a fun reprieve after a tough semester. I came here today to ask about an issue I've been having with my animation script with playing spells. The character uses anima tomes and in my script the hp depletion/hit routine uses only C05, but whenever the frames hit that C05 mark in the script, the game screen freezes (music still plays though, lol). At first I thought the problem was me using C05 and C04+C1A+C1F but when I deleted the rest it still persists. I'm wondering if it has to do with the fact that I'm replacing Lyn's data with hers, and Lyn uses swords, but I thought I changed all the associated pointers in nightmare to use anima instead. Feel like I'm missing something. Below is the script lines where it seems to freeze ->

If I take out C05 and use the physical weapon type hit, the script works (kind of, there also seemed to be a weird thing with the enemy animation, but one step at a time, haha). Is there another code I should be using or pointer that should be changed? I can try to put more information (such as what I changed with Nightmare).
(EDIT: Sorry meant to post this in questions, I messed up. Not sure how to move it)
