[Howl]

Hey everybody, this is my first sprite, and I'd really like some critique's if you don't mind. I'm looking to get better, and I -think- I formatted it right. However, when I go to insert it with FEditor, the bottom
pictures face is all messed up, and I haven't figured out how to fix it. Anywho, I'll post more sprites as I make them.

This is what I'm going to be working on for the longest, and hopefully it turns out well. This is it maybe.. 1/4th of the way done

That fullbody is awesome.

Normal portraits- Your first two are pretty much immaculate. The third one is pretty awesome for a full custom; perhaps making the face/hair a little smaller would help in making it look more FE styled? The fourth's scarring is a bit over the top, but pretty good regardless. The fifth's hair is kind of derpish, but the rest of him is great. The sixth's hair goes kinda weirdly behind the clothes but is pretty good otherwise.

Full body- The leftmost arm (OPV) is huge and perhaps a bit far out to the right and the hair on the left (again, OPV) fits weirdly on the jacket, but other than that this is great! I can't wait to see more.

My first Map. I don't really know if it came out well, so maybe I could get some opinions.



-Some more fixes on this thing. Its coming along i believe, but its a pretty slow process. I think I'm getting better though?





Also Smashed, I hate the purple hair too, and plan to redo it. As for the 6th one... I'm still going to redo the hair, and edit it a little bit.

For the full body. I'm aware his right arm is too big, and am going to re size it around his triceps.

Still a heavy work in progress, and the map was to give me a break from it. Thanks very much for the inputs on everything though

Full body portrait = Looks good.. but has absolutely no point.. except for show.

You are correct.

Well, the concept of the map is very good, however the execution was not so much. I liked where you were going with it, but, there is allot of tile spamming. The mountains are overall good, but there are parts where the shadows are off. As for the paths they seem straight and have random cut offs.

I know it's allot but, it's still good for your first!

As for the full-body, it's good but some parts seem off in shading. Mainly what you have of the sword so far. The shading seems reversed of what it should be. So, fix that. I like where you are going with it though! Good luck!

Well thanks for all the critiques. The full body is not even close to being done, and I'm still going to expand it much more. I don't really know how to do much with the maps and it feels like Im missing certain pieces, but it's probably just that I'm unfamiliar with Mappy still. I'll keep working on it and thanks for the help ^^.

Your necks need to be a little longer for the shoulder widths you use.

You also need to work on your shapes and shading, as well as color choices and contrasting.

Also Vincent looks to be from a different game style than FE.

Map -> Straight Lines, get rid of them. AKA the water.
The Thicket in the forest need to be COMPLETELY surrounded by trees.
Mountain is messy, fix it.
Use different grass tiles.

Paths are cut off and the cliffs are too straight and kinda awkward.

What they said; also, parts of the mountains seem kinda "weird", as in there's a bunch of random lines that have no purpose. For example:

That horizontal line shouldn't be there because it doesn't have any logical reason to be there. (That's just one of many places in which it occurs too, you used the tile that contains it a bunch.)

I see you've updated, eh? You can/should just make a new post when you make an update, unless yours is the most recent. Helps people know that something's new, y'know?

You did fix my complaint; kudos for that. There is a main problems that I see, though- the forest/thicket section at the top is oddly done. Thickets should be fully surrounded by forests and there shouldn't be random grass trails throughout. One would be fine; two would be a stretch, but it could work; but having it open just looks... wrong, I guess.

Hopefully the last update to my map, unless there are more discrepancies you can find in it. Thanks for all the critiques from before, and I tried to fix most if not all of the problems.




An edited Lloyd Sprite, with Durandal, effectively. A bit more tuning up, and then I'll start working on a full sprite animation for him. This is going to be the main character in my Fire Emblem Hack, Leon Zeal



I don't really know anything about sprite editing, or how any of that works, so any help or tips would be appreciated.

Sent a message but I dunno if he's still active. I'm very cautious about using other peoples stuff.. I saw you asked her about Marisa ^^. Thanks for the heads up though. If he says I can't use it I'll take it down and start from scratch. (Unless you think it's not safe to use without absolute permission? I checked all of his battle sheets and he's usually very generous about it.)
