Does anyone remember how to use the battle code in FE7

what I did

BATTLE1:
AttackerMiss(lastAttack)
DefenderSilencer(lastAttack)
EndOfBattle
ENDA

how I called the fight code

FIGH Bartre Lyn BATTLE1

the error it gave me:

3 errors encountered:
File Proloque.txt, Line 33, Column 1: No code named DefenderSilencer found.
File Proloque.txt, Line 70, Column 1: Incorrect parameters in code FIGH Atom Atom Atom
File Proloque.txt, Line 32, Column 1: Symbol lastAttack isn't in scope

Edit--------------------------------------------

Yeah so now I got it to work and also all the other events are working aswell so my very first complete chapter I about to be finished

Still hasn't written any plot for it but known what about is going to be in there

Next steps

- Finish the events for the chapter

- Start to write convo text for the chapter

- start to make a proper story board

- more maps(chapters)

- more characters(mugs)

- custom classes

I am trying to aim for a full hack (don't know how many chapters that will be)

it seems like you're missing at least one micro ("DefenderSilencer"), not sure what you're referencing for this but try finding the source of that macro, I guess

for the FIGH line, something about the parameter types is wrong, I guess? BATTLE1 is an offset so that would be 4 bytes, right? the error suggests there are 3 bytes? I'm not sure what's the deal as I don't hack anymore but try checking the structure of the thing

and the last one should be something simple but I can't really know what from what you showed

probably you'd need to post the whole code for more help, though admittedly we don't really have any active hackers here anymore, AFAIK ><;

Thanks on that at least I now have a better idea on where I need to look.

Yeah that is understandable, looking at how many hacks stayed unfinished would be more of a surprise if everyone was still active.

But that doesn't need to really mean anything, like I had times where I am completely into something and then I lose the passion but most of the times I found it again and continued from where I left off. Sometimes it is just a phase.

in a way, hacking was kind of a "phase" for a lot of people... and that's why most hacks didn't finish, lol. to actually be successful in something as daunting as making a game (even if it's just a mod), a person generally needs to be more committed than just a "phase" or just "feeling like it", but forcing yourself to do something that you wanted to do for fun can make it not fun anymore, so it's a bit of a sacrifice, lol

for instance, I hacked so much that I basically got sick of it, but on the plus side, I actually made a fully playable, full-length hack that I could basically call complete (TLP), so yeah. in the end it's just sort of up to each person how far they want to take a hobby like this, lol...

Yeah that's true, I mean the first obstacle that is in the way to make a hack is always to actually go and learn how to do and then there is the question of where to start or reading for example the Ultimate Tutorial and in the first chapter already being confused on what this term mean and then decide to give up I actually had exactly the same problem because I was really just completly new to that and all other topics related to computers.

Most people sometimes just expect it to be that easy, and then they find out how much work that actually is and drop the idea.

And man TLP, was amazing from the begining to the end and then completing the constelation everything very balanced.

Yes, I managed to fix it. Thank arches eventing tutorial, now I only need to go remove Bartres death quote because it seems to it messes up some of the events by appearing outside of the battle (could also be because I didn't use a clean ROM to insert the events).
