You know, I guess it makes sense they didn't show it at the 3DS conference thing. I mean, the game is out, so there isn't anything new to show. Announcing it afterwards makes sense.

Also, IS wasn't planning on having DLC until the very last minute, so we know this is DLC that we couldn't have gotten without paying for it. It's not like stupid DLC that is basically necessary to play the game.

And at least it's cheap. 1 yen is roughly equal to 1 cent (in U.S currency) so most of the DLC would cost like, 3-5 bucks. which will totally add up but I DGAF SO HARD

It was actually confirmed for Europe a long time ago. I think a lot of people, myself included, were ready to import a European 3DS for this game since it would at least be in English.

The way Iwata said it was very vague. The people at SF that are most familiar with Japanese said that it could even be interpreted as "We're not sure when we're going to release it overseas," meaning they assumed it would be.
